Here's a wonderful vintage 70's family photo sent in by our good friend David. It shows him & his friend John Paul playing in the swimming pool with some of those Mego Bend & Flex Figures. Basically they were "bendy toys" of popular DC Comics superheroes ( they made MARVEL ones too ). I have a few of these in my collection. They're really hard to find in MINT shape. Mostly because, back in the 1970's, little kids played with them in the water ( Hey David, ha ha! ). If you would like more information about these toys, plus see some great pics, be sure to check out this article at the YESTERVILLE TOY ROOM website, just click HERE!
Here's a Vintage 1960's Toy Advertisement from a toy supply magazine where the toy company brags about how great their product is. Well, ok, it is a very very great toy, the super-cool BEND-A-BITTY BATMAN BENDY FIGURE! But, what I wanna know is this, if the ad says they have sold over one million of these then why are they so extremely super-hard to find, ha ha! The actual toy, in all it's beauty, is shown on the right. The magazine print ad is on the left & if you look real hard you can see that they made 4 different characters. I can't tell who they are but you know they had to have made a Robin. Who are the other ones? Anybody know? I'm guessing one of them has to be The Joker & maybe a Riddler or a Penguin???
