Video: Vintage BATMAN AND ROBIN Toy TV Commercial with the Riddler
This post features a really great Vintage TV Commercial but it is also a test because I created it then posted it on YouTube. So, I am seeing if it works, ha ha! This was a famous TV spot for Zeller's Toy Stores. I really like the art direction of the animation, not bad. It also features the Riddler as the main villain...enjoy! Oh yeah, if you have a blog then please embed this video on your site...thanks!

Video: Batman Collector Shares a Few Vintage Batman Toys
There's this guy I know ( not in real-life, but on the internet, ha ha ) named Heath AKA "Batman Geek". He's a pretty nice guy & is also a very serious Batman Fan & Toy Collector. You might know him too. Anyways, while surfing the net the other night I came across this video he did where he shares a few pieces of his Bat-Collection. I thought it was pretty interesting & knew a lot of readers would enjoy it so be sure to check it out!! (( AS A SIDE-NOTE: After posting I checked out this post & the volume isn't working, weird. I don't know if it's my computer or the video so if you don't hear anything I apologize. It's still kinda neat to see visually & I'll work on getting a non-corrupted copy of this video. Thanks ))

RARE 1966 JOKER HAND PUPPET Vintage 60's Batman Toy

I saw this 1966 JOKER HAND PUPPET on eBay awhile back & nearly freaked! I can't begin to express how super super-RARE this thing is! They made a Batman puppet which is kinda common. They also made a Robin one which is alot harder to find for some strange reason. But, this Joker puppet was sold only as an extra toy in a one store-exclusive playset. I think the store was SEARS but can't remember the exact details. Anyhoo, this is one toy I don't have in my extensive collection & really really want ( Hey readers, Christmas is coming up, LOL ).
Be sure to check the BAT-BLOG ARCHIVES for many more RARE Vintage Batman Toys!

Dave's VINTAGE BATMAN TOY & MEMORABILIA Collection!

Check out these great photos from a Bat-Blog Reader named Dave who wanted to share some of his Batman Toy & Memorabilia with us. He has a really nice collection going here ( Please click the small pics up above to see larger, more detailed, photos ). I like how it's displayed & I also love all the vintage stuff. It's neat that he blends a lot of new pieces with the older items. I sort of crack-up a little bit every time I see that Official "Batman Television". I have the DVD Player ( love the design ) but never bought the TV. It's a really cool item that I'm gonna try to find someday! My favorite piece has got to be the Mego JOKER VAN, that thing is RARE! Plus, I guess for sentimental reasons, I had it as a little kid. I also like the "Batman Executive Set", 60's Soaky Bottle, Action Figures, Ideal Helmet, the Die-Cast Corgi Batmobiles, the "Carmine Infantino" Statue, Autographed Photos, the Vintage Halloween Costumes & Masks, the 1966 Coloring Books...the list could go on & on, all GREAT stuff! Thank you to Dave for sending the wonderful pics, I appreciate that a lot. If any other Bat-Fans out there would like to share pics of their collections then that would be great! Our email button is always on the top right-hand side of this page.

Sears Toy Catalog: Vintage 1970's Batmobile Batman Pedal Car

Oh man! I gotta say that Old Toy Catalogs are some of the very best reference material out there you can get. Here's a really great example. This is a page from the 1977 Sears Catalog showing the Batmobile Pedal Car. This thing is a beautiful piece of ART that deserves to be displayed in a museum! It's kinda funny how they show that one little kid hanging all over that lame Ferrari Race Car when we all know every little boy wants the Batman car! The other funny thing is the Batmobile only costs $39.99. Just click on the above photo to see the larger version of this picture, it's pretty sweet!

Vintage 1967 BATMAN GIVE-A-SHOW BAT-PROJECTOR By Chad Valley

I was recently contacted by a Vintage Toy Collector in the UK. His main collecting obsession is the very wonderful GIVE-A-SHOW PROJECTOR SETS made by Chad Valley & Kenner. I think we all had one of these toys as a kid. I did, & truly loved it ( I think I had the one with Popeye ). Anyway, he's created a very well designed website that features many of these playsets & it's really great reference material for serious collectors. But, he wrote me to tell me about his post on this 1967 BATMAN TOY that capitalized on the popularity of the 1966 Batman TV Show. Ya see, I did a post about this cool collectible awhile back, right here on the Bat-Blog. He told me he has pictures posted of all the slides. His page has all of them & I posted just a few to give you an idea. So, be sure to visit his site to enjoy them all. I also want to ask ALL Bat-Blog Readers, who collect both new & vintage Batman toys, to please send me any info/photos you might have. Sharing the love of collecting is what this site is all about!!

Cool Vintage Batman Toys From the 70's!

Here are 2 examples of some really cool Vintage 1970's Batman Toys. The 1st photo is a boxed set of the Bat-Utility Belt with accessories. Made by Remco it comes with utility belt, walkie-talkie, handcuffs ( or bat-cuffs ), decoder glasses, & bat-watch! The 2nd pic shows a Battery-Powered Toothbrush Set, Mint in Original Box. The toothbrush photo was sent in by a BAT-BLOG reader who told me he only collects Batman items from the 70's because that was when he was a little kid & it's the time period he loves best! That's cool, thanks for sendin' in the picture Donald!

Reference Photos: BATMAN TOY COLLECTION in Australia!

I love meeting other Batman Collectors from all over the globe & getting to see what toys they have, it's kinda cool. Well, recently I got an e-mail from a guy who lives in Australia & he collected Bat-Memorabilia from 1989-1997. His name is Darren Maxwell & the photos you see are just a very small part of his entire collection. Now, the thing is, he doesn't collect Batman stuff anymore. I'm guessing he ran out of room in his house & can't buy anymore, ha! I can sort of understand that. Also, I gotta say that I totally stole these pics from his personal website. If you go there you can see most of his collection & it's very interesting. Besides a lot of great photos he also explains a lot about what these items are. It's kinda funny & very informative. You can visit his website by clicking HERE! Oh yeah, when you get there find the "Batman Toy Room" text button near the top-center of the page.

SOME PHOTOS OF OLD RARE VINTAGE BATMAN TOYS Sent In By Loyal BAT-BLOG Readers!

The main thing about the BAT-BLOG is it's all about sharing the joy of collecting both New & Vintage Batman Toys. I know we post alotta cool wallpaper graphics, clever YouTube videos you can watch for free, funny humor photos you can share with friends, etc...but that's not the main reason to come here. The main function of the BAT-BLOG is for Batman Collectors from ALL OVER the world to share information & great pics. The 3 toys shown above are a good example. John sent us this cool photo of his 1966 Batman PIX-A-GO-GO Toy. Basically this now hard-to-find toy was a film-strip that was made of 2 layers & when you moved them they showed the characters in action. Sort of a poor man's animated viewmaster reel. This one features the Penguin & I really love the old vintage graphics...nice litho, cool green logo. The 2nd photo shows a cool airplane glider toy, also from the 60's & MINT IN ORIGINAL PACKAGE, called BAT-JET! This was sold for the UK market & is extremely RARE! The 3rd photo is another foreign toy called BATMAN'S CAVE MAZE. It's one of those wood boxes with a maze on top. A knob on each side controls the tilting effect of the maze & you move a small ball around & try not to have it fall in the holes...These were usually pretty hard to do & as a kid these always got on my last nerve, ha ha! But, this baby is Super-RARE especially with the original box. Also, the graphics on both are extremely beautiful...doesn't it bring tears to your eyes, I need a minute please, LOL. As always you can click on the small pictures for larger photos, especially try out the BATCAVE TOY because it's really detailed! If you have any cool photos you wanna contribute then please e-mail them today!

The above photo ( which is a larger pic if you click on it ) shows both the front & back. Most of the Mego Batman figures has a "Batman head" with him permantly wearing the cowl but this one had a "Bruce Wayne" head with a cowl that came off....cool! If anybody has some cool pix of their favorite old bat-toys please send them!

Video: Japanese Antique Vintage 1970's ALPS Batman and Robin BATMOBILE TIN TOY CAR Battery Operated
Here's a pretty cool video that was featured on an eBay posting ( I always think that's a really great idea to do that ). It's a Japanese ( Vintage 1970's ) ALPS Batman and Robin BATMOBILE TIN TOY that is one of those fun Battery Operated Cars! Now, this is a bootleg toy ( not licensed ) but still, it's a lot of fun & very very RARE! Plus, it's really neat to see it in action, ha!

The BATCAT'S Vintage BATMAN Batmobile Tin Car & Toy Collection from Thailand!

The Bat-Blog became friends with a Batman Memorabilia Collector in Thailand known as "The BAT-CAT" & he has one of the very best Vintage Batman Toy Collections I have ever seen! He sent us a few photos to share & they feature just a part of his collection of Vintage 1960's and 1970's Batmobile Tin Toy Cars, a few Ray Guns, & even a Batman Robot or two. Yes! Robots!! Most of the vehicles are from Japan but there's also some from Italy & Argentina. I gotta say that my favorites are the older Japanese Batman Toys. All of them are in really great shape & some of them still have their original box or package. Please take a good look at each picture. They will make you totally cry & drool for days! I think the most unusual piece is the "Batman Cowboy Gun". Made from tin metal, it's extremely RARE & very exotic. BAT-CAT also owns a few Tin Toys of the Original LINCOLN FUTURA Car that the Custom 1966 Batman TV Show Car was based on ( 1st pic ) and that's pretty cool!! I wanna thank Bat-Cat for taking the time to shoot these wonderful pics & let him know that I am totally jealous, ha ha! but all kidding aside, I really appreciate it & you have some amazing stuff here, thanks again!
Custom BATCAVE MODEL Scaled For CORGI 1966 BATMOBILE DIECAST CAR

To celebrate this 250th post to the BAT-BLOG we thought we would do a very special story! Bob Kimball, a new friend to the BAT-BLOG, has these 2 awesome photos to share of a model BATCAVE DIARAMA SCENE he made. This is an exact replica model of the BATCAVE from the 1966 Batman TV Show done to the scale of the original 1960's Corgi Diecast Batmobile Car. So, the car was made by the classic toy company & everything else was made by Bob...WOW! The details to this model are extremely insane! He said he watched many hours of the TV show & freeze-framed certain moments to study the different elements of the Batcave because he wanted to capture the exact scale of every piece. It looks like he did just that & also did a great great job! He said, "This model took forever & ever to make!". As you can see in the photos it was lovingly pieced together & painted with great details! One pic has a coin to show the scale....nice! Thanx for sharing these pics with our BAT-BLOG readers Bob! Be sure to check out the BAT-BLOG ARCHIVES for many more RARE Vintage Toys like Mego, Corgi, Marx, Hot Wheels, Ideal, etc..Also, click on the top photo of the BATCAVE for a HUGE picture where you can really see the details of this great model!
As always, you can click on the small picture above for a larger, more detailed, photo!!

There's also a vintage-looking Batmobile that sort of looks like the one made by Kenner for the Superpowers Toys, remember those? ( Click on the small photo above for a larger, more detailed, picture! ). The 2nd picture shows 2 larger-sized action figures with a 1966 TV Show-version Batmobile toy car...awesome! Video: Batman and Robin Movie Handheld Electronic Game TV Commercial
A really old TV commercial for the Batman and Robin Movie Handheld Electronic Game by Tiger. The quality isn't really the best but it does give us a good idea what the commercial was like. The design of the toy was pretty cool the way it was bat-logo shaped & one of the control sticks was a Batman figure.
