The BATCAT'S Vintage BATMAN Batmobile Tin Car & Toy Collection from Thailand!

The Bat-Blog became friends with a Batman Memorabilia Collector in Thailand known as "The BAT-CAT" & he has one of the very best Vintage Batman Toy Collections I have ever seen! He sent us a few photos to share & they feature just a part of his collection of Vintage 1960's and 1970's Batmobile Tin Toy Cars, a few Ray Guns, & even a Batman Robot or two. Yes! Robots!! Most of the vehicles are from Japan but there's also some from Italy & Argentina. I gotta say that my favorites are the older Japanese Batman Toys. All of them are in really great shape & some of them still have their original box or package. Please take a good look at each picture. They will make you totally cry & drool for days! I think the most unusual piece is the "Batman Cowboy Gun". Made from tin metal, it's extremely RARE & very exotic. BAT-CAT also owns a few Tin Toys of the Original LINCOLN FUTURA Car that the Custom 1966 Batman TV Show Car was based on ( 1st pic ) and that's pretty cool!! I wanna thank Bat-Cat for taking the time to shoot these wonderful pics & let him know that I am totally jealous, ha ha! but all kidding aside, I really appreciate it & you have some amazing stuff here, thanks again!

More Super-RARE Vintage Batman Toys from Argentina!

These 2 cool photos were sent to us by our good friend Ramiro from Argentina! The top pic shows a few RARE Spanish PVC Figures of Superman, Batman, Robin, Batgirl, Wonder Woman, some "Space Lady", Joker, Catwoman, Penguin, & The Riddler! There's also a vintage-looking Batmobile that sort of looks like the one made by Kenner for the Superpowers Toys, remember those? ( Click on the small photo above for a larger, more detailed, picture! ). The 2nd picture shows 2 larger-sized action figures with a 1966 TV Show-version Batmobile toy car...awesome! We wanna send a special THANK YOU to Ramiro for these great pix!! If any other readers have some cool photos of their RARE BATMAN TOYS to share then please do because it's the readers who make the BAT-BLOG great!

Batman Memorabilia From Around The World

OK, anybody who has been reading the Bat-Blog for awhile knows that I am a pretty serious Batman toy collector & one of my favorite things to collect is the "wacky foreign items". So, this post shows a few Batman items from around the globe. The 1st item is a photo sent in by a Bat-Blog Reader who lives near France. This is a set of THE BATMAN Playing Cards made during the time of the TV cartoon series. I really love the cool graphics ( Thanks Andrew for sending this, it's awesome! ). The 2nd pic is something that is in stores right now! In Malaysia, a bath products company that I think is called "Eskulin", is making Batman Talcum Powder, Shower Gel, & Shampoo plus Conditioner. Most Bat-Fans might recognize Jim Lee's artwork on those, very cool! Another item that is out right now, in Argentina & Brazil, is this box of Batman Band-Aids, ha ha! I love the graphics on this packaging too, especially the side with the Joker. The last item is a Nestle Zucosos Cereal Box that was sold in Bulgaria to promote the Dark Knight Batman movie ( I don't think these are available any more ). Anyway, as you can see these are all really wonderful "foreign items" that you can't get here in the United States. Their rariety & wackiness is one reason I really love this kind of stuff. Hope you do too! If you happen to live in another country beside the US then please report to me about Batman goodies in your area. Sharing the love of the character & the joy of collecting is what this blog is ALL about!

Y'all know I really love the unusual & RARE Batman Toys & Comics so this was a great surprise! Thanks for the pictures Manuel! Be sure to CHECK THE ARCHIVES for many more cool & wacky foreign Batman items! The ARCHIVES are located on the right side of the BatBlog. Vintage 1940's Style BATMOBILE RIDING TOY CAR

There's a Batman Collector website I visit called BATMANIACO! It's written by a guy named Alberto who lives in Argentina. Now the thing is, I can not understand one single word written there...I just enjoy the photos, ha ha! I try to translate the page sometimes but it always just gets garbled up so I just end up enjoying the pictures. He has a pretty amazing Batman Toy collection. This is a perfect example! Here's a beautiful Batman Riding Toy Car that looks just like the 1940's Batmobile! Now, remember, I can't read anything there but I'm pretty sure this toy is custom & not production-made. But anyway...it's AWESOME!

Music Video: BATMAN & ROBIN Comedy Skit From Argentina!

In Argentina they have a popular TV Show called "Colorado Café" where they do comedy skits. Here's one with Batman & Robin singing...it's crazy! I think the name of the band is "Gem Boy" but I might be wrong.

Argentina Batman Toys: Penguin & The Joker JACK Chocolate

A friend of ours from Brasil sent us this photo showing some older vintage 1970's Batman toys from Argentina. You can click on it for a way bigger photo. They are tiny figures of The Penguin (Pinglino) & The Joker (Quason) that were FREE premiums inside JACK Chocolates. Below the photo of those figures is an ad from a comic book showing all 55 figures to collect. There are more Batman-related ones: The Batmobile (Batmovil), Batgirl, Batman, Robin, Riddler (Acertlio), & Catwoman (Catubela).

Foreign BATMAN TOYS: Mexico, Argentina, and Italy

One of the types of Batman Toys I personally like are the "Foreign Toys". They're usually very very wacky!! Plus, it's neat to see a foreign language on them (I think it's great that the character is loved all over the world ). Yeah, I'm kinda weird, ha ha! Anyway, here's some very cool examples: The 1st photo is a "Bootleg" Inflatable-Toy of Batman. He looks kinda pretty with that bold red lipstick, don'tcha think? The 2nd picture is an extremely RARE Slot Car Race Set made by Polistil. I think it's from Italy or Poland. Either way the graphics are awesome! The weird thing is the Batmobile looks like the one from the 1989 Tim Burton movie but the graphics on the box of Batman & the logo are retro 1970's! The next 2 items are from our friends in Argentina. The 1st example is a plastic ring toss game that I have never seen before ( Thanks Paulo for sending that pic, appreciate that! ). The 2nd item is a small packaged puzzle. I think it's a carnival prize or something. It has some really nice graphics that look like they were swiped from Dick Giordano artwork. Whew! We just went around the world. OK, if any readers in "foreign lands" have some photos they would like to share then please send them in today. Thanks!

SUPER-RARE Vintage 60's Batman Weapon Toys!!

In this quick posting we wanted to present 2 very ultra-rare Vintage 1960's Batman Toys that are toy weapons for crime fighting! The 1st one is a Batman Water Pistol Toy Gun made by Lincoln International ©1966. It's shown here on a beautiful display card with the toy attached, drool, drool! The 2nd photo is of a cool "foreign market" Batman toy called BATI-ESPOSAS & as you can see they are a pair of play hand-cuffs, or I guess, "Bat-Cuffs". These were marketed in Argentina & are quite RARE also!! The Bat-Blog would like to thank our friend Ramiro for sending the "bat-cuffs" photo. If any other readers have some cool personal photos to share of anything Batman-related then please do so!
Be sure to check the BAT-BLOG ARCHIVES for many many more RARE vintage Batman Toys!!

Vintage BATGIRL TOYS From Argentina BATICHICA!

Recently our dear friend Ramiro, who live in Argentina, sent us these great photos of some of his Vintage Batman Toy Collection & shown here are the special shelves for his Vintage Batgirl Toys. They call her BATICHICA there! The photos pretty much explain themselves but I do love alot of these Super-RARE Toys he has! You can click on the small picture above for a larger, more detailed, photo. Also, be sure to check the BAT-BLOG ARCHIVES for many more Vintage & Foreign Batman Toys!! Thank You for the great pics Ramiro!

VIDEO: Cha Cha Cha - Batman - Convensión de Batmanes del Mercosur

OK, This video is just surreal! It's kinda fun to watch even though I can't understand one single word, ha ha! It's all in Spanish & is a TV Comedy sketch/parody of a convention of Batman characters. Later, an English-speaking Superman comes by & starts a fight.....weird!

COOL BATMAN MERCHANDISE From The Netherlands, Germany, & Argentina!

For this post I thought I would share some photos of some very obscure pieces of Batman Memorabilia from around the globe. The 1st bat-item is a Set of Batman ( Comic Book Version ) Story / Music Cassettes. These were made in the Netherlands in the early 1980's. There's actually a lot more of these in the original set but finding even these 3 are pretty difficult. I really really like the cover art. The next item might look just like it's American-counterpart but it's totally in German! Yes, it's the 1989 BATMAN MOVIE Novelization Paperback Book, but from Germany. I wonder if these are as common there as the US versions are here, ha ha! But still, it's really cool that it is "foreign language". On to the next photo we see a toy made during the BATMAN: THE ANIMATED SERIES cartoon craze in Argentina! This is one of those Batman: Drawing Play Sets where there's a machine you load plastic tiles into that have "drawings" embossed on them ( raised design ). You snap them into a template, load a piece of paper, & then scratch a pencil across to get the artwork on your paper. It creates an image that is black-outlined & you can then color it. Sort of like having a manual "coloring book sheet maker" in your home, whew! Anyways, it's so great that it's from South America and it's got the BTAS thing goin' on. Plus, seeing the Joker on the box is kinda cool too. OK, right now I want to extend an offer for all Bat-Blog Readers living all over the world to send in any "Foreign Collectibles" photos & stories you might have.

Vintage BATMAN Coloring Book From Argentina

OK, I'm wondering if anyone knows if this BATMAN Coloring book is an actual licensed product or just bootleg? ( Either way it's pretty cool ). It was made in Argentina around 1989 & the shape of the book is die-cut, which is interesting. The artwork is kind of cheesy but that's normal for a coloring book. It looks like it was made by a company called "Sylvapen". Does anybody have any information on this?

DC SUPER-HEROES McDonald's Happy Meal Toys from ARGENTINA

Ramiro, our great friend from Argentina, sent us this very recent photo of the current McDonald's Happy Meal Toy promotion in Argentina. They are doing the DC SUPER-HEROES Game Card Holder Set. Basically, there are seven "action figures" that are sort of flat ( but still 3-D ) & their bodies open to store DC Superhero Game Cards inside. The characters include Batman, Robin, Batgirl, Catwoman, Superman, Wonder Woman, & The Flash! I love the figures & the old-style "McCube Box" is kinda neat to see again. Why didn't we get these here in America? Right now we have the Teenage Ninja Mutant Turtles & Madame Alexander Wizard of OZ Dolls....lame! We wanna thank Ramiro for another great picture, thank you bat-friend! If any BAT-BLOG Readers from outside the USA has some Batman Toy News then please send it in!

BATMAN ART: Fighting Super-Villains by Pablo Canadé

Yesterday I was very surprised to get an e-mail all the way from Argentina! A Bat-Blog Reader named Pablo Canadé wrote me about some of his artwork. He's a very talented Graphic Artist & as you can tell he is totally inspired by both Batman & his Super-Villians. Each portrait has a picture of the Dark Knight in combat with a different foe: The Joker, Catwoman, & The Riddler. Thanks for sending these Pablo, they're really really GREAT! Keep up the good work. Readers, please be sure to check out his website sometime. There's more bat-goodies there to enjoy.

Wacky Batmobile Toys & Other Vintage Batman Vehicles!

While checking out my Bat-Photo database ( ha ha ) I noticed a nice set of photos that would make a good post so here we go! Here's a nice assortment of Vintage Batman Toys, all Batmobile-related. The 1st photo is one of my personal favorites. It's a Vintage 1960's Japan Batmobile made by The Japanese LEGO Toy Company. Not to be confused with the Lego Brick toys this car is actually a very cool Trinket Box you can use to store your pencils in. I think it's a beautiful piece of ART! The next item is pretty cool too. It's also a little weird. This is a Bat-Jeep "BATIJEEP" Batman Car from Argentina. Shown here with original magazine ad. It's really bizarre & the fact that Batman & Robin's heads are here, but no bodies, ha ha, is kinda strange! The last 2 photos are a really RARE Batman Diecast Car ( 1:43 Scale ) from Great Britain. Made by a UK Toy Company called Oxford Diecast. The name of it is the "Mini-Ice Cream Van, Batman Special". I love the vintage graphics on this baby, check it out!
