1966 BATMAN TV SHOW Free Flash Video Game

A friend of mine over at the 1966 Batman Message Board shared this link he found of a very cool '66 BATMAN-Themed Video Game he found online. It's one of those "Free Flash Games" you see a lot & this one was created by TV LAND awhile back to promote the fact that they had the Batman TV series & Movie on their channel. It's called "BAT-ATTACK, The Road To Gotham". To be honest, it's really sort of cheesy, ha! But if you're a Batman Fan it's actually kind of fun to play. A lot of the villains ( The Joker, Catwoman, Penguin, etc...) from the TV show make an appearance. Go ahead & give it a try, see how high YOU can score, by clicking HERE!

BATMAN PLUSH TOYS: The Toy Factory 2009 Catalog Gets Revised

Some of you might remember a post I did recently about some of the new "Crane Machine" Plush Toys by Toy Factory. Well, I was contacted by them & there has been a few revisions to the 2009 catalog. For one, they will not be doing the Rubber Basketballs they had planned but to make up for it they are extending there "DC Super Friends" toy line to include 6 new plush toys called "Buddy Plush". The set includes: Batman, Superman, Aquaman, Green Lantern, The Flash, & Robin ( You know which two I am gonna have to get, ha ha ).

BATMAN'S BAT-UTILITY BELT SCHEMATIC - Flash Animation

Here's something that's so extremely cool I knew I had to share it with you guys. Our friend Reis, who is a Graphic Designer & writes the Geek Orthodox blog, is taking a Flash Animation Class at school. For one of his assignments he was told to create some kind of "schematic or blueprint" that was interactive plus it needed to explain the function of an item. So, he chose Batman's Bat-Utility Belt! It shows what all the compartments are & where Batman stores his various crime-fighting tools. You'll see where batman keeps his Grappling Hook Gun, Bat-Cuffs, Smoke Bombs, Bat-a-rangs, etc...He did it with the idea of, "What if the Cartoon Network hired me to do this for their Batman: The Brave and The Bold website?". For my example I'm showing a few pictures here, to give you an idea what it looks like, but if you click the "BATMAN UTILITY BELT" button down below you can experience the actual Flash Animation. BATMAN CHECKS & ADDRESS LABELS - FUNNY!

I just opened a new bank account the other day & needed some checks. While surfing thru a webpage called CHECKS IN THE MAIL I found some Batman checks & address label sets. Actually they are DC Comics Super Hero checks & labels. Ya see, they make you also buy Superman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, & Flash. But, the checks & Labels with Batman are pretty cool! DC SUPER FRIENDS: BE BRAVE BUDDIES Plush Toy Dolls

Who's the cutest little Batman? You are, yes you are! Ha Ha, TOY FAIR 2008 has presented a huge amount of new Batman Toys that will be released this year. Fisher Price ( Now owned by Mattel ) will release a line of plush toys called "BE BRAVE BUDDIES" which will be large Plush Toy variations of their DC Superfriends action figures. In the 1st wave we'll see Superman, Flash, Hawkman, and, of course, Batman! Now, you all know that I am gonna have to get that Batman doll, he's too gosh-darn cute, ha ha! I even like the fact that they made a Hawkman. No offense to that character but it's kinda weird they did him considering he's not as well known as like Superman or Flash. But, that's cool! Another cool thing is it looks like there will be 2 versions of Batman: Blue/Gray & Black/Gray...which color variation do you like best?

DC Direct THE NEW FRONTIER Series 2 Action Figures

DC DIRECT has finally released the current THE NEW FRONTIER Action Figures Series 2 designed by Darwyn Cooke. Each figure stands about 6 1/2" tall & features multiple points of articulation with a base. In this set there are Batman, Martian Manhunter, Dr. Fate, & The Flash. Of course these figures are from the new Animated Movie & the previous Graphic Novel. I seriously love the Vintage "Retro Look" of these characters. What I have seen on this cartoon, mainly the trailers ( see earlier Bat-Blog posts ), is that this is gonna be a very exciting event for Silver-Age Comic Book Fans. Darwyn Cooke is a really great artist but the nice thing is you can tell that he really loves all these old DC Characters & it shows. TOY FAIR 2010 - Justice League Plush Dolls by Funco ( Batman )

More News from TOY FAIR 2010: OK, you know the toy company named FUNKO? They make those awesome Wacky Wobbler Nodders. I really love those things. Well, now they have another division in their company that makes cute Character Plush Dolls ( or Plushes ). They're doing the Wizard of OZ, Alice in Wonderland, & the Justice League of America! To get things started here are Batman, The Flash, Green Lantern, & Superman. Now this totally makes me wonder since they finally ( finally! ) got the right to do DC Comics comic book characters then maybe, just maybe, they might start to make a few Funko Bobblehead Nodders. That would be so awesome!!

DC SUPER-HEROES McDonald's Happy Meal Toys from ARGENTINA

Ramiro, our great friend from Argentina, sent us this very recent photo of the current McDonald's Happy Meal Toy promotion in Argentina. They are doing the DC SUPER-HEROES Game Card Holder Set. Basically, there are seven "action figures" that are sort of flat ( but still 3-D ) & their bodies open to store DC Superhero Game Cards inside. The characters include Batman, Robin, Batgirl, Catwoman, Superman, Wonder Woman, & The Flash! I love the figures & the old-style "McCube Box" is kinda neat to see again. Why didn't we get these here in America? Right now we have the Teenage Ninja Mutant Turtles & Madame Alexander Wizard of OZ Dolls....lame! ART: COMIC BOOK SUPERHEROES Painting by Allan Sanders

Last night I was goofing around on the internet when suddenly I discovered an extremely funny and very well drawn illustration of DC & Marvel Superheroes ( Click on the image up above for a larger, more detailed, version ). Actually it's a painting that was recently shown in the "Hot Rods & Hairy Beasts" art exhibit at the Coningsby Gallery, in London. The artist's name is Allen Sanders & he's from Brighton, UK. I thought I would post it here because it does have Batman, Robin, & the Batmobile! I had to find out more about this guy. So, I discovered that he has a website / blog called LOOPLAND. CROMY CLUB : DC Super Heroes Wallpaper Page

I received a message this morning from a Bat-Blog reader who has created a page that is filled with Desktop Wallpapers featuring the art of Jose Luis Garcia Lopez. This is a favorite artist of mine from the 1970's & 80's. He had a very clean unique style, nice sharp lines. He's a really great artist so it was a treat to see work by this guy again. Anyway, the webpage is filled with many different wallpapers featuring different DC characters: Batman, Robin, Batgirl, Superman, Aquaman, The Joker, The Flash, & The Green Arrow. ACE THE BATHOUND ( Batman's Dog ) Online Video Game ...FUN!

A friend sent me this link to a very cool Free Flash Online Video Game ( No download needed, play right on screen ) that has Batman's dog ACE, THE BATHOUND. I plan on hitting the Grocery Store later today because I just found out that the Hostess Cupcakes company has teamed-up with DC Comics to promote the JUSTICE LEAGUE! They are combining the best comic book heroes with their different food products like Cup Cakes, Twinkies, & so on... The characters include Superman, Flash, Green Lantern, & Batman! You might remember reading about the brand-new SQUATZ toys here at the Bat-Blog about 2 weeks ago. We had some prototype pics of the packaging & mentioned them. Well, I have now seen the actual product, in my hands, & they're extremely cool! What I'm talking about is the new line of DC UNIVERSE / SQUATZ FIGURES made by Wild Planet. They are compact collectible figures of our favorite DC Comics characters embedded in dissolving tablets. They are sold 2 figures per pack. One figure is visible & the other is hidden. ADAM WEST THE BAT Will Be In Concert in Hollywood,CA!

Hey everybody, a Punk Rock group called "Adam West: The Bat" will be playing in North Hollywood, CA on April 23rd, 2010 from 8PM - 2AM. They will be playing at the CIA - The California Institute of Abnormal Arts. The group is made up from a group of cosplayers who like to dress-up as Batman, The Flash, & 2 Jokers! New BATMAN: THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD Preview Videos with JSA "The Golden Age of Justice"

In these AUTHORIZED VIDEOS from Warner Bros, we get to see some action from the Brand-New BATMAN: THE BRAVE & THE BOLD animated series that airs on Friday, January 15th at 7:30 p.m. on the Cartoon Network. This week's episode is titled "The Golden Age of Justice" & features the Justice Society of America! The basic synopsis is: "An aging JSA is faced with the return of their worst enemy, Per Degaton, as he returns from suspended animation to enact a plan for world-domination, while Black Canary helps Wildcat face his greatest regrets." Oh man, this looks so cool! What do you think?
