OK, I know we have been kinda crazy with the contests lately but it's because we have received a lot of material from generous readers & there's some that I already had planned so they just all clashed together, ha ha! But, this contest is special & sort of connects to the release of a current book so I had to get it in now. Plus, I'm super-excited about it & couldn't wait any longer so HERE WE GO! The latest Bat-Blog Contest is for an Autographed Signed-Copy of Chip Kidd's new book titled BAT-MANGA, THE SECRET HISTORY OF BATMAN IN JAPAN ( Paperback Edition ). You might have read my book review on this a few days ago. To summarize, the book is incredibly AMAZING! Famous book designer & author Chip Kidd teamed up with Super-Collector Saul Ferris & Photographer Geoff Spear to create this wonderful "Batman Japanese History" book. Basically, it reprints a ton of totally lost material done by the Manga ( comic book ) Artist Jiro Kuwata during the 1966 Batman TV Show craze in Japan and, as a bonus, features a lot of beautiful Vintage 1960's Batman Toys made in Japan. The book is really great & we were lucky enough to get a few signed copies to give away as a contest! You read that right! There's more than one autographed book so your chances of winning are way better than those other crappy "Batman Fan" wannabe-websites, ha ha! BATMAN FAN? Get The Bat-Blog On Your Mobile Phone!

I recently discovered that the Bat-Blog's RSS feed is avaliable as a free download on Plusmo! So, now you can read the Bat-Blog where ever you are! Now, I don't have a fancy mobile phone so I'm not sure how to do it but their website has very easy-to-follow instructions. Basically, Plusmo is a free service to add your favorite blogs & websites to your mobile phone. Now I did read some of the instructions & Plusmo is FREE but they warn that some phone services charge for it so you might check with your phone provider to see. It said that phones with unlimited plans are always free. We want to invite people to get this service & see what it looks like. The website has a demo of how it appears on your phone & it looks pretty cool! Here's a link to check it out.

FREE JOKER INTERNATIONAL POSTER The Dark Knight Movie

If you buy the current issue of TOTAL FILM magazine it has a Giant-Size "FREE" Poster of Heath Ledger's JOKER from THE DARK KNIGHT International Movie Poster. It's folded into 8 sections but pops open to measure about 23" X 32", that's pretty HUGE!! This is a magazine published in the UK but you can find it at better bookstores in the USA. The cost is around $6.00. Greedy "Scalpers" have been selling these on eBay for $20+. That was, until people found out they could get them in this magazine...those bastards!

APPLE iPhone Users : BATMAN The DARK KNIGHT Movie Wallpapers

A loyal Bat-Blog reader suggested I make a few Batman & Robin graphics that Apple iPhone users could use as wallpaper. That sounds like a pretty good idea, & a fun experiment, so here's a few to use for FREE! They have been sized for 320 X 480 resolution. I tried to make a good variety with images & photos from The Dark Knight movie for starters. One is Christian Bale in his NEW Batman Costume & another showing him as Bruce Wayne in the Batcave. Another is Heath Ledger as The Joker. Now, I don't have one of these cool iPhones so if you do & you use one of these Batman wallpapers then please send us a digital photo of your iPhone with one of these on it...that would be really cool!!
