The Next New Episode of BATMAN: THE BRAVE & THE BOLD will be called "Death Race To Oblivion" & it will air on Friday, November 20th, 2009 on the Cartoon Network. The basic plot goes like this: Mongul holds Earth ransom, forcing it's greatest heroes--and villains!--to race for the planet's survival. It's a crooked bargain wherein even if Batman wins, he dooms his fellow heroes--if the villains don't doom them first!

Some Brand-New BATMAN TOYS AND ACTION FIGURES Out Right Now!

Well, it looks like our good buddy BATMOBILLY has been pretty busy hitting the retail stores lately. I guess it's a good time to maybe find some cool stuff again! These photos were taken at Target & show a few neat new bat-items. The 1st photo is a BATMAN: THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD Batmobile Toy Car that Billy said was a Toys-R-Us Exclusive, but is now being sold at Target in different packaging, that's weird! But I totally love the design of this vehicle! ( Be sure to click on it for a larger version ). The next 2 photos are some more of those "value-priced" Imaginext Action Figures by Fisher Price ( Target Exclusives ). They are Mr. Freeze & The Penguin...cool! The last pic shows a nice new assortment of the B:TB&TB ACTION LEAGUE Mini-Figures ( I think they called them "Minis" ). It looks like they've done Batman ( Blue ), the Joker, Bat-Knight, The Demon Etrigan, Owlman, Blue Bowman, Batman ( Grey ), The Top, Sportsmaster, & Green Arrow. Hey Billy! You photographed the Demon Figure twice! ( Ha Ha! Just Kidding ). I gotta say that out of all of these mini-figs my total favorite has to be the Joker...he's awesome! Thank you Billy for taking the time to take these cool pics, I appreciate that. In these Authorized Video Clips from Warner Bros we get to see some action from the next NEW episode of BATMAN: THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD! This show is titled "Revenge of The Reach" & the Special Guest Stars will be Blue Beetle & Guy Gardner with the Green Lantern Corps. ( The "Challengers of The Unknown" will be in the guests in the teaser-part of the show ). It will air on January 1st, 2010 on the Cartoon Network. The Basic Plot is: Blue Beetle is finally ready for a mission of his own and things go smoothly until he tries to deliver his captured villain to Oa, where he is attacked by the Green Lanterns! Blue's scarab is revealed to be linked to an army of evil aliens known as the Reach - does he have the power to resist their influence?

The Electric Playground got to interview a few of the voice actors from BATMAN: THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD. We get to hear from Diedrich Bader, the voice of Batman, who is always really great because he's very funny & seems like a really cool guy. Then there is John Di Maggio, who is the voice of Aquaman. Yes, "Outrageous!". We also get to hear from James Arnold Taylor, who plays 2 different superheroes on the show: Guy Gardner & Green Arrow.

BATMAN NEWS For The 2010 San Diego Comic Con!

Are you going to the 2010 San Diego Comic Con this year? Well, here's a couple of Batman items to keep an eye out for. The Graphitti Designs company will have a special limited edition BATMAN: ARKHAM ASYLUM ( Video Game ) action figure in their booth, #2315. It's the BATTLE-DAMAGED BATMAN!! It's sort of a special pre-release, since it will come out before the next official wave of figures. Also, Warner Bros announced that they teamed up with SDCC to give away 125,000 special tote bags that will feature many of their different commercial properties. There will be 11 different designs so be sure to try & get the one with "Batman: The Brave and The Bold", pictured up above. In fact, if you can get an extra one to give me then I would love you forever, ha! The other 10 designs will be: The Big Bang Theory, Chuck, Fringe, Human Target, Nikita, The Vampire Diaries, The Looney Tunes Show, Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated, Clash of the Titans & Brightest Day. OK now, the Bat-Blog isn't going to SDCC this year ( because we're total losers ) but, like every year, we will try our best to keep you up to date on any new information about the event that is related to Batman. Free BATMAN Desktop Backgrounds "Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday"

The Bat-Blog is famous for it's "Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday" event that happens, you guessed it, every Wednesday! Ha Ha, this week I thought I would try to mix it up a little bit & have 3 wallpapers ( we usually post 2 ) because I'm all crazy like that. Plus, I wanted to mix it up another way & have them all be radically different...or as different as possible but still keep them all Batman-related, whew! So, HERE...WE...GO! The 1st one uses an amazing piece of "Heath Ledger The Dark Knight Joker" artwork that was submitted by a reader named DC Miller. His work is incredible & I knew it had to be presented as a wallpaper. In order to place the image on the right-hand side I had to flip it but it looks great! ( Thanks DC for sending the art ). The 2nd one is a photo of Adam West from the cover of the March 11th, 1966 Issue of LIFE Magazine. This image is totally iconic...a masterpiece! The last one uses what is probably the most recent version of Batman & that's the character from the new BATMAN: THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD cartoon. Last night we were at the evil Wal-Mart to get some household supplies when all of a sudden I discovered these new Batman items! If you hit their "Holiday Cosmetics" area you might be able to find these Batman Bath Products: Batman Toothbrush Holder, Batman Fizz n'Foam Bath Set, Cans of Batman Moldable Foam Soap ( 2 ), & the Large Batman 3-Bath Foam Set! Please excuse my crappy photos, I only had my camera phone with me, but you get the idea! The Large Bath Foam Set ( 2nd photo ) is $9.00 & all the others are $5.00 each. These are usually a pretty good deal, & well liked as children's Christmas gifts, so be sure to get them if you see them. They almost ALWAYS sell-out early! Also, I bet you can also find them at Target stores because they usually have them every year, but I have not checked yet. The next item is something extremely cool that was spotted by our friend Joe! He was at a Walgreens Drug Store where he said he found this Exclusive BATMAN: THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD Wall Clock, it's only $9.99. I really love this cartoon so this clock will be a "must have item" for me, ha ha! ( Thank you very much for sending the pic Joe, I appreciate that ). Just a friendly reminder that the brand-new animated TV series BATMAN: THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD hit's the airwaves tonight! Now, here at the Bat-Blog we have been flooded with e-mails from people asking, "What time does the show come on?" OK, Cartoon Network originally had it planned for 7:30pm & then changed it to 8:00pm but this morning I checked my TV provider's listings & they say 7:00pm. I know, it's all confusing. So, the best thing I can say is just get online or look on your Cable TV Listing channel to find out what time it will be on your local listings. The Cartoon Network is acting very strange with this so just check our local guide to be sure.

BATMAN: THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD Gotham City Raceway - Slot Car Racing Set

Our good buddy "Batmobile Billy" recently sent us some photos of a new addition to his Batman Car Collection. It's a Slot Car Racing Set with a "Batman: The Brave & The Bold" theme. It's called "GOTHAM CITY RACEWAY!". It's made by TYCO RC, which I think is owned by Mattel now. You get a bunch of Race Track, 2 Controllers, a Few Cardboard Cut-Outs of Different Scenes, a Batmobile Slot Car, & Green Arrow's car. This is kinda funny because they usually make these sets with the other car being Batman's enemy ( usually the Joker ). This time it's Green Arrow, which kind of makes sense since they're always competing in the cartoon. Billy told me that the cars look really great ...but they're a lot smaller than usual. But either way this is a Batman Race Set I am gonna have to get because I really love the TV Show & this item looks really cool! ( Thanks Billy for sending the nice pics ).

It will feature Aquaman & Adam Strange as the main superhero guests. Since Adam Strange is new to the show I thought I would make some of just him. Ya gotta admit he looks pretty cool with his retro-style spacesuit! Also, remember, tonight's episode comes on at a different time so please be sure to check your local listings. For me, where I live, the TV show is coming on the Cartoon Network about 30 minutes later at 7:30 pm ( Central Time ). Oh yeah, one last thing, I know I kinda went crazy making a bunch of these backgrounds but I couldn't decide which images I liked the best, ha ha!
