Are you going to the 2010 San Diego Comic Con this year? Well, here's a couple of Batman items to keep an eye out for. The Graphitti Designs company will have a special limited edition BATMAN: ARKHAM ASYLUM ( Video Game ) action figure in their booth, #2315. It's the BATTLE-DAMAGED BATMAN!! It's sort of a special pre-release, since it will come out before the next official wave of figures. Also, Warner Bros announced that they teamed up with SDCC to give away 125,000 special tote bags that will feature many of their different commercial properties. There will be 11 different designs so be sure to try & get the one with "Batman: The Brave and The Bold", pictured up above. In fact, if you can get an extra one to give me then I would love you forever, ha! The other 10 designs will be: The Big Bang Theory, Chuck, Fringe, Human Target, Nikita, The Vampire Diaries, The Looney Tunes Show, Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated, Clash of the Titans & Brightest Day. OK now, the Bat-Blog isn't going to SDCC this year ( because we're total losers ) but, like every year, we will try our best to keep you up to date on any new information about the event that is related to Batman. If you hear of any news please let us know.
Here's a CBS News video on the BATMAN: THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD panel at this year's 2010 San Diego Comic Con. We get to hear from Producers James Tucker and Michael Jelenic plus some of the amazing voice acting talent of Diedrich Bader ( Batman ) and John Di Maggio ( Aquaman ). The sad news is that, after the 3rd season is over, there won't be anymore episodes. But, once the show starts back up pretty soon there will be 28 more episodes so we'll still get to enjoy the show for quite awhile. Plus, even though Warner Bros is letting this series go ( which I don't know why, because it's very successful & many people love it ), there are rumors of a brand-new Batman cartoon that will be CGI. So, that's cool!
OK, I gotta admit, right now, that I am totally & completely super-jealous!! Why? Well, our friend Caroline got to meet Mark Hamill at this year's SD Comic Con, that's why! You might know him. He played the JOKER in Batman: The Animated Series. He also played the same character in the Batman: Arkham Asylum Video Game, among others. He also played a guy named Luke Skywalker in some movie called Star Wars, which I hear is excellent. Arrrgghh! Caroline, I'm so very very JEALOUS!! Ha Ha, actually it's really great that she got to meet him & I wanna thank her for allowing me to post this wonderful photo. Also, as a side-note, her Harley Quinn Make-Up and Costume is awesome!
At the recent 2010 San Diego Comic Con the Mattel Toy Company released a ton of information ( & beautiful photos ) of all the cool new Batman toys coming out for the rest of the year, 2010. But, they even shared pics of new action figures for 2011! Here's the news on the BATMAN: THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD toy line. Shown here a few new mini-figures, a ton of new action figures, & a totally brand-new line of toys called "Total Armor" ( the last photo ). Now, please keep in mind that these are just the "Brave & The Bold" toys. There will also be some special Batmobile Hot Wheels, Imaginext Toys, & other Action Figures that we will be posting later. So please be sure to visit the Bat-Blog again to see them all!!
Here's a brand-new Batman collectible item out there to find that I think is pretty awesome! For the BATMAN: THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD CARTOON Interview Panel at the 2010 San Diego Comic Con ( SDCC ) Warner Bros gave out these foam-rubber STARRO MASK premiums! Now, for everybody who has been watching this TV show for the last few episodes we know the whole STARRO thing has been a small side story deal that keeps building up. Remember, STARRO creatures stick themselves to people's faces ( like the face-hugger in the ALIENS movies ) & then control their minds. Anyway, I think the masks are totally great & since I didn't get to go to Comic Con this year I'm gonna be trolling eBay for one of these. I checked last night & they're going pretty cheap. That's cool, or as Aquaman would say, "OUTRAGIOUS!!"

Two friends of the Bat-Blog were kind enough to share some photos from the SDCC 2008. The 1st one, from Barry, is a HUGE vinyl banner advertising the new BATMAN: THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD animated series that's gonna come out soon on The Cartoon Network. This was attached to a hotel near the event...sweet! The 2nd & 3rd photos were sent in to us by Brian. They show a large life-size statue of The Dark Knight & a Bat-Fan in Costume walking the halls of the Convention Center. It looks like he bought a bunch of bat-merchandise too, ha ha! I wanna thank Barry & Brian for sending these cool pics, I appreciate that! If any other Bat-Blog Readers went to the convention & got some pics, then please send them in to us!!
If you were lucky enough to go to the last San Diego Comic Con 2008 then you could have bought these 2 Exclusive Action Figures of BATMAN & The JOKER. SDCC always has some special toys you can only get there. I really like these. It's the modern-day comic book version of Batman & The Joker looks completely CRAZY. The packaging is really cool too, a nice set.

There are leaked rumors that in 2008 Mattel will have a Special 1/50th Scale Hot Wheels Bat-Vehicle that will be an exclusive at the next San Diego Comic Con event (SDCC). It's gonna be the BATGIRL BAT-CYCLE! Of course we all know this as the motorcycle used by Barbara Gordon in the 1966 Batman TV Show. I hope they sell it separately but the rumor is that they will make a special "Three-Pack" that will also include the 1966 Batman Bat-Cycle & Batmobile (The same ones that they have already released in stores, 1:50 scale). Shown up above are some very early prototype graphics &, for reference, a nice photo of the original bike. Please comment down below & let us know what you think about it so far.

Just a quick post: If you go to GOOGLE SEARCH today ( July 24th, 2009 ) then they have a special Google Logo that celebrates both DC Comics & the San Diego Comic Con 2009! The artwork was created by none other than the famous comic book artist Jim Lee!! I like that it features both Batman & Robin, plus it's kinda cool how he drew Plastic Man!! Another weird thing is _ Where's Superman?!! Oh man, I wish I was at SDCC this year, ARRRGGHH!

OK, If you're planning to go to the 2009 San Diego Comic Con be sure to hit the Mattel Booth for an EXCLUSIVE Hot Wheels THE DARK KNIGHT Batman Movie Tumbler Batmobile and Bat-Pod Motorcycle Set! They have been keeping it pretty top secret but a reader named Tony sent us this amazing photo. Basically it's a Window-Boxed Set of 2 vehicles from the Dark Knight film. The way the vehicles are displayed inside the dox it looks like the Bat-Cycle is bursting out of the Tumbler batmobile Car...SWEET! I have also heard they will be the 1:50 Scale size...AWESOME! As we get more SDCC '09 information we'll have better pics later, so stay tuned to the Bat-Blog for more info!( Thank You Tony, You ROCK, Sir! )
