BATMAN Gets a Traffic Violation in The UK!

Ha Ha, This is sort of funny news because it's true! Recently, while Warner Bros was busy promoting the new DARK KNIGHT Batman movie in the UK, they got a ticket on the Tumbler Batmobile for illegal parking! Apparently they parked the car in a "No Parking" area while displaying the car in public. The British Police Officer had no choice but to give them the ticket. BATMAN Superhero Christmas Gingerbread Cookie Art!

A friend named Reis, who runs a cool blog called Geek Orthodox, sent me some amazing pictures last night of a recent event featuring HUGE Batman-related Cookie Art! Yeah, you read that right, Cookie ART! In Washington, every year, the downtown Seattle Sheraton Hotel hosts a Gingerbread Village display decoration in their main lobby for Christmas. This year they seemed to go with a "Superhero Theme". It looks like some awesome pastry chef artists went totally nuts making a huge Batman display. They made a few different Batman figures, a Joker & Scarecrow head, even the Tumbler Batmobile! Video: Halloween BATMAN: THE DARK KNIGHT Movie Theme Display 2009

Look at how I decorated for Halloween this year! The neighborhood kids really loved it. No, it's not mine, just kidding, ha ha! This is the work of an extremely creative guy named Jerjod. It took him a whole year to construct all this stuff for his 2009 Halloween Batman Display. In the driveway is a Tumbler Batmobile Replica Car he made. He also made a Life-Size Mechanical Manikin of Batman in costume that moved around. There were Battery Controlled "Wing-Flapping Bats" that hung from the trees & he even had a HUGE Bat-Symbol light shining on his house that took up the entire garage-area section!! WOW! TOON TUMBLERS: DC Comics Comic Book Batman & The Joker Character Glasses

Do you remember when you could hit your favorite fast food restaurant & get a cool Promo Glass...made out of real glass! Well, a few years ago ( around 2004 ) a company called POPFUN MERCHANDISING started to make a new product called TOON TUMBLERS. Basically they're high-quality Character Glasses with awesome graphics. They started out using children's comic book & TV cartoon characters like Underdog, Harvey Comics, Bullwinkle, etc...then they started to do Marvel Comics Superheroes. Once I saw the Marvel characters I knew it wouldn't be long until they started doing DC Comics Comic Book Characters. Well, they have finally arrived! Shown here are Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Firestorm, Sgt. Rock, & The Joker! OK, you know which two I'm gonna have to get ( Batman & Joker, Duh! )! But the ones of Sgt. Rock & Superman are pretty cool too! I like the fact that the Batman Glass uses Neal Adams' artwork from the 1970's & The Joker glass features graphics by Jose Luis Garcia Lopez ( or is it Dick Giordano's art? OH YEAH! A brand new Batman Video Game is available now at the Apple App Store for your iPhone or iPod Touch. Here's an interesting video of a Foreign TV News Story about the HOT TOYS Doll & Action Figure Company. It shows a lot of great shots of The Dark Knight Tumbler Batmobile Toy with the Batman Figure. Also included are the Joker Action Figure ( Heath Ledger, Version 2 with Rolling Eyes & Policeman Uniform ). Plus they cover some of their other movie properties very briefly. That list includes: Terminator Salvation, Watchmen, Ironman, The Godfather, & many more! But really the main part of the story seems to be Batman!

2 BATMOBILE CAR PAPER MODEL KITS : Free Download

A really cool webpage was brought to my attention the other day. It's a site for people to download paper model kits to make famous cars. They have these 2 vehicles there that I know Bat-Blog readers will love: The 1966 Batmobile from the TV Show ( George Barris' car ) & The Tumbler from Batman Begins Movie ( and soon, The Dark Knight ). These are FREE model kits you download as a PDF file & then print on your computer's printer using card stock paper. After that you cut the pieces out & then glue then together. Looking at the photos you have to admit that they are quite impressive. The attention to details are insane, ha ha! Be sure to click on the photo above for a larger picture where you REALLY see the details, crazy! Down below is a link to that wonderful page. Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas with Batman Begins GTA Mods

In the video game world there is a sub-culture where some very talented people ( I call them "Artists" ) create what they call "MODS". Basically they create a line of code to give a character or vehicle a whole new look & then they embed that code into the game. In this video we see the main character of "Grand Theft Auto" replaced with Batman & his car is now the Tumbler Batmobile...sweet!

BATMAN GOLF CART Inspired by "The Dark Knight" Tumbler Batmobile

OK, There's a few people who hated the new Tumbler Batmobile from the recent Batman movies & there's a ton of people who totally loved it ( I loved it ). But regardless of your opinion, you just gotta admit that this is an extremely clever Custom Golf Cart! Yes, this thing was totally inspired by "The Dark Knight" films. It's crazy! Unfortunately it's not an official product. It was customized by a Warner Bros employee & is currently used to get around the lot. Now, my question is, how many of you would totally buy one of these?

Sort of by accident today the Bat-Blog is featuring a lot of custom items that were inspired by THE DARK KNIGHT movie. But when I saw this video a friend sent me I knew it had to be posted right away, it's cool! This is the video by a guy who made a Custom Tumbler Batmobile Car Go-Kart. It's totally beautiful. I know I'd love to have one, ha ha! We featured this thing here awhile back, but they were just photos. Now, we get to see the thing in action. OK, get ready to drool!

2 New Photos of Batman DARK KNIGHT Toys That Will Be Released

This is a quick post to just mention 2 Brand-New Batman Toys that are coming out during The Dark Knight Batman Movie. The 1st one is a Batman Slot Car Race Set made by Tyco RC. Looks like they're gonna have the Tumbler Batmobile & a Gotham City Police Car ( GCP ) as the vehicles racing through the streets of Gotham City, very cool! The next pic shows a Tumbler Batmobile toy with the Bat-Pod motorcycle coming out of the front. I bet this happens in the movie ( sorry for the spoiler ) & it's kinda funny because a friend of mine the other day said this was gonna happen. Now he has proof!

New THE DARK KNIGHT TUMBLER BATMOBILE & BAT-POD Batman Movie Toys and Action Figures ( Desktop Wallpaper )

OK, I don't normally post Batman desktop wallpapers on Monday, but a friend of the Bat-Blog sent these 2 super-giant-size photos of some brand-new Batman toys & action figures that are gonna be made for The new Dark Knight Movie ( Batman Begins 2, as some people call it ), so I thought I would just make some wallpaper out of them, ha ha! This way you can see the new toys AND have a pretty graphic to decorate your desktop....see how much I care! The 1st pic shows a Tumbler Batmobile toy with Batman & Bat-Pod motorcycle, sweet! The 2nd one features a very large action figure / doll that has wings. This has gotta be a prototype photo because they used common thread to sew the wings onto the armatures. In production I don't think they would allow that. But otherwise the details are pretty nice & I like that the figure looks well-articulated. New HOT WHEELS BATMAN Starter Set TUMBLER BATMOBILE CAR - Custom Motors

A few weeks ago, here at the Bat-Blog, we reported about this brand-new BATMAN TOY but at the time we only had production pics from Mattel. Well, a good friend of this blog, named Paul, just spotted this item in a Wal-Mart retail store & sent us some great photos! The toy that we're talking about is the HOT WHEELS BATMAN STARTER SET by Mattel. It's a part of their CUSTOM MOTORS toy line. This one is the TUMBER BATMOBILE, just like the one from the recent movies. But the thing is, it comes with many different parts where you can snap them on/off to make many different versions. OK, I could see where kids would love playing with this toy & it does sort of promote having an imagination, so that's cool. Now, Paul said you can use parts from other cars in the same series to add even more variations. Plus, this Tumbler Batmobile measures about 4" long so it is bigger than your standard Hot Wheels diecast car...AWESOME! ( Thanks Paul )

BLUEPRINTS For Batman TUMBLER BATMOBILE ( Begins & The Dark Knight )

Here's a nice set of "Blueprints" for the Tumbler Batmobile. This, of course, is the famous Batmobile car from the Batman Begins movie & it will also be featured in The Dark Knight in 2008. Funny BATMAN HUMOR Photos and Comic Strips

Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha, whew! OK, we all need a good laugh every now & then so here's a nice sample of Batman Humor to enjoy. The 1st pic is a total parody on the classic "American Gothic" 1930 painting by Grant Wood. I saw the original painting a few years ago at the Art Institute of Chicago, it was amazing. But this version is pretty funny! The next graphic is a scene from the opening title of The Simpsons TV Cartoon where Bart is in school. It looks like he might have been talking trash about Batman, ha! The next picture might need a little explaining. In 1939 ( just before World War II ), the British Government created propaganda posters with the phrase "Keep Calm and Carry On" that citizens in England were to hang in their homes. Now, for whatever reason, they were never distributed but were later found in 2000 & have since become total icons. This graphic is a parody of that poster & totally funny! The last photo shows the Tumbler Batmobile ( The Dark Knight movie version ) racing at a Nascar event. I'm pretty sure that pic is photoshopped. Plus, Batman would totally be in first place, ha!
