"WHY SO SERIOUS?!" The other day I received an e-mail from a Bat-Blog Reader named Joey. He wrote, "My daughter Robin recently went to a party and there was a face painter. She had her share of girly face painting and she proved to be a FREAK! LIKE ME!". Ha Ha! Thanks Joey. Your daughter looks great with this very cool Joker make-up. I almost thought it was actually Heath Ledger for a second...ha ha, just kidding. But seriously, it's wonderful that such a great kid can be a HUGE Batman Fan like her father...that's awesome! VIDEO: Hot Toys BATMAN DX 02 FIGURE The Dark Knight Movie Version

Here are some very cool videos showing some of the functions of the BATMAN DX 02 Figure by HOT TOYS. Of course it's the Christian Bale version from THE DARK KNIGHT movie. The doll has a lot of new technologies that are very clever. The 1st video is a demonstration of the Hot Toys-invented PERS ( Parallel Eyeball Rolling System ) function. Basically, the eyeballs move around in his head in a more realistic fashion. It's kinda creepy, but it also makes the figure look really awesome!





The next video shows off what I call the "Change-a-Face" feature. He has Interchangeable "Face Parts" that have different mouths. I guess you can make him happy or angry, ha ha!





Then, there's the "Sonar Eye Light-Up" feature...very cool! You replace an item inside his head that replicates the special "Sonar Cowl" he wore in one part of the movie. The eyes light-up & everything!





OK, whew! here's the final video & it shows how the "Transformable Gun" works. It's just like the movie where it was all compact & then it would transform into that weapon that shot "sticky bomb" charges on that building in Hong Kong. I think they went a little too far with this, ha ha, but it is great that HOT TOYS cares about ALL the small details. They make some really amazing collectible figures!!

Zack's BATMAN TOY COLLECTION On Display!

Our Buddy Zack was kind enough to send us some photos of his cool Batman Toy Collection. Well, part of it anyway. He explained that this is about 1/4th of his total collection & he plans to take more pics when he gets the time. But for right now all this stuff is pretty neat to see! The 1st photo is an over-all shot of 2 shelves on one wall & the other 2 pictures are close-ups of each shelf. Most of the collection looks like newer stuff from "The Dark Knight" movie and I also see some vintage items from the Tim Burton 1989 Bat-movie too! There are even a few items from the "Batman: The Animated Series" era...very cool! I imagine that one day he will have to move to another location because his collection has got too big, ha ha! That seems to be a major problem with ALL Batman Collectors. There is so much stuff that you practically need a HUGE warehouse to store it all. But for me that's what makes it such a great challenge. It can, literally, take an entire lifetime to acquire everything...it never ends & that's great! Most toy collectors end up finding every item in their category they collect & it's over. Not with Batman stuff!! Thanks for sending us these photos Zack. You have an awesome collection & I really like how things are displayed! There's a new Batman Product that everybody is going totally crazy over, but is actually kinda hard to find, & that is these very cool "Batman & The Joker: Notebook & Video Game Console Skins". Basically they're a very high-quality vinyl sticker with custom graphics that you can use to cover your notebook or gaming console. They are made sort of like Post-It Notes where you can stick them on/off. A company called FATHEAD has made a few recently to tie-in with the Dark Knight Batman movie & they're pretty cool. Right now, in Japan, the Pepsi-Cola Company & Kubrick Toys have teamed-up to do a give-away premium promotion that a lot of Batman Fans should be excited about. You can get a free BEARBRICK figure, each with a different "movie theme". There are 12 to collect & two of them are related to The Dark Knight Batman movie! One of them looks like Christian Bale's Batman & the other one is the Joker ( Heath Ledger )! Oh man, they're actually really cool!! Ruben's BATMAN LIFE-SIZE STATUE Custom Art

Oh yeah! Check this out!! Our friend Ruben went & made himself a Life-Size Statue of BATMAN from The Dark Knight movie!! I'm really proud of this thing, it's so cool! Ruben lives in Chile & one day he decided that he wanted to create a Batman statue for himself. So, he made this one with resin, polystyrene and rubber. It really looks great! I love it when Bat-Fans get totally creative & are inspired by their love of the Batman character. This is the perfect example. Thank you Ruben for sharing your wonderful pictures, I appreciate that. Now, get busy making a JOKER, ha!

Aaron's BATMAN AND JOKER TATTOO ART Photos

Hey Boys & Girls, it's time again for another awesome example of Batman Tattoo Art! This photo was submitted by our good friend Aaron. It shows an all-around design that features Batman, Joker, & the Bat-Signal in the Sky of Gotham City...it's beautiful! The Joker is the "Heath Ledger" version from The Dark Knight movie. I really like the colors in this thing, very vivid. Plus, the Bat-Signal sort of has a translucent effect that makes it look less solid & more like "light"...nice! Thanks Aaron for sharing this wonderful Bat-Tat. I know that everyone is going to really love it!

The Dark Knight JOKER Has Been Spotted in Ireland!

An avid reader of the Bat-Blog, named Kieran ( who lives in Ireland ), sent us these wonderful photos of his recent Halloween Costume of THE JOKER that he created. The attention to details are very accurate. One thing I noticed is that the blue shirt he's wearing has the exact "hexagon pattern" as the one worn by Heath Ledger in The Dark Knight movie. The make-up is really nice too. Overall, a very well-executed job! Plus, as a treat, the last photo shows him with his friend "Two-Face". He's half Harvey Dent & half EVIL! BREAKING NEWS: Christmas is Cancelled!

This just in. It appears that Santa Claus will be totally unable to deliver toys to all the good little boys and girls of the world this year & Christmas is canceled! The Police have not been able to determine who has committed this crime but toxicology reports say it was a deadly toxin. Their only clue was a "Joker Playing Card" left at the scene of the crime. When we have more information on this incident we'll let you know. So, be sure to stay tuned to the Bat-Blog.
