BATMAN & JOKER NOTEBOOK & VIDEO GAME CONSOLE SKINS

There's a new Batman Product that everybody is going totally crazy over, but is actually kinda hard to find, & that is these very cool "Batman & The Joker: Notebook & Video Game Console Skins". Basically they're a very high-quality vinyl sticker with custom graphics that you can use to cover your notebook or gaming console. They are made sort of like Post-It Notes where you can stick them on/off. A company called FATHEAD has made a few recently to tie-in with the Dark Knight Batman movie & they're pretty cool. I'm just showing a few examples here but overall they make them for the DS Lite ( Animated version ), 15" 16" 17" PC Laptop Computers ( The Heath Ledger Joker ), Playstation 3 PS3 ( 4 different TDK versions ), Nintendo Wii ( Joker ), PSP ( 2 Batman, 2 Joker ) & the XBox 360 ( Batman and Joker ). BATMAN & BATGIRL Desktop Background Wallpapers

It's always "Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday" here at the Bat-Blog & this week I thought I would go totally RETRO 70's! The 1st Batman Wallpaper uses a hi-res graphic I found of vintage 1970's artwork by Neal Adams. This was a popular image used on a lot of toy packaging, like Corgi Toys Diecast Cars. Of course I am a huge Neal Adams fan so I had to use that! The next background is just as classic. It's Batgirl as drawn by Carmine Infantino. Another great comic book artist from the Silver Age. I think older readers will like these because they bring back nostalgic feelings & younger people will enjoy them just because the artwork is so good. Please let me know what YOU think about them. If you ever want a certain wallpaper design or a character that's kind of obscure just let me know & I'll see what I can do.

Dean Trippe's DOCTOR WHO & SILVER-AGE BATMAN Parody Comic Book Cover

I know this guy named Dean Trippe who is a Graphic Artist / Illustrator & he is extremely talented. The cool thing is that he is also a serious Batman Fan. Well, recently he became inspired by his appreciation of the British DOCTOR WHO TV Show & decided to meld it with his love of the Silver-Age Batman & Robin stories. So, he created this parody comic book cover as sort of an homage ( click on it for a larger, sharper, version ). The art is really great & I totally love the vintage-style Batmobile car! BATMAN as SANTA CLAUS Holiday Christmas Graphics

A friend to the Bat-Blog sent these very cool "Batman as Santa Claus" xmas pictures he wanted to share ( Thanks Kevin ). He explains that he "loves both Batman & Christmas" and that he got these images in a portfolio of Bruce Timm's artwork. Timm, of course, was the director & designer for Batman: The Animated Series. That's why these graphics have a "cartoon look" about them...they're AWESOME!

BATMAN'S 70th ANNIVERSARY: 3D Computer Art!

This amazing 3D Computer Graphic Art was done by our good friend Achim Loobes to celebrate the 70th Anniversary of Batman, the Caped Crusaider! He has a website devoted to Batman that has a ton of very cool 3-D computer artwork. Now, the only problem is that the website is from Germany & is totally in the German language. So some of you, like me, can't read anything, ha ha! But it's very well designed & easy to navigate. It's worth a look just to see the cool images. THE JOKER WALLPAPER Artwork By Gerry Cleary

I recently met a Graphic Artist named Gerry Cleary. The cool thing is that he is a HUGE Batman Fan & sent me this amazing artwork he did of the Joker. Of course it's the "Heath Ledger version" of the character from "The Dark Knight" movie. I knew I had to share it here & since the graphic was so large I thought I would make it a Batman Desktop Wallpaper. It has a cartoon style but is also very detailed. Look at the Joker Playing Cards, they're cool. The pattern on Joker's shirt is exactly like the one worn by Heath in the movie, a nice detail. The 1st picture shown here is the Desktop Wallpaper I made & the 2nd photo is Gerry's original graphic. As you can see this guy has a lot of talent. BATMAN'S BAT-UTILITY BELT SCHEMATIC - Flash Animation

Here's something that's so extremely cool I knew I had to share it with you guys. Our friend Reis, who is a Graphic Designer & writes the Geek Orthodox blog, is taking a Flash Animation Class at school. For one of his assignments he was told to create some kind of "schematic or blueprint" that was interactive plus it needed to explain the function of an item. So, he chose Batman's Bat-Utility Belt! It shows what all the compartments are & where Batman stores his various crime-fighting tools. You'll see where batman keeps his Grappling Hook Gun, Bat-Cuffs, Smoke Bombs, Bat-a-rangs, etc...He did it with the idea of, "What if the Cartoon Network hired me to do this for their Batman: The Brave and The Bold website?". For my example I'm showing a few pictures here, to give you an idea what it looks like, but if you click the "BATMAN UTILITY BELT" button down below you can experience the actual Flash Animation. The other day I noticed a new link to my page from a site with a strange name. I mean strange in that it was foreign, not weird! Ha Ha, anyway, I went to check it out & it's from Germany. The language is German & I can't read it but the site is still very easy to navigate as it is very well-designed. There's a ton of original graphics there, mostly 3-D in style. Up above I am showing the Main Header for the site & the picture below that is a desktop wallpaper showing Batman done in 3D artwork. You guys might check it out sometime because it's pretty cool. Giant-Sized BATMAN TATTOO ART Graphic Photo.

Recently, while surfing through MySpace I came across this photo of a HUGE Batman Tattoo. It looks like a photo taken right after the tattoo work was done because it's a little red around the artwork. Oh man, this thing is HUGE & must have hurt real bad, ha ha! It also must have taken forever to do because it's one of the biggest ones I have ever seen. Now, that's dedication to The Dark Knight! I contacted the guy to ask if I could post this pic & he was gracious enough to say, "Hell Yeah!" So, thank you, the tattoo looks cool dude.
