RARE 1966 JOKER HAND PUPPET Vintage 60's Batman Toy

I saw this 1966 JOKER HAND PUPPET on eBay awhile back & nearly freaked! I can't begin to express how super super-RARE this thing is! They made a Batman puppet which is kinda common. They also made a Robin one which is alot harder to find for some strange reason. But, this Joker puppet was sold only as an extra toy in a one store-exclusive playset. I think the store was SEARS but can't remember the exact details. Anyhoo, this is one toy I don't have in my extensive collection & really really want ( Hey readers, Christmas is coming up, LOL ).

There's a new Batman Product that everybody is going totally crazy over, but is actually kinda hard to find, & that is these very cool "Batman & The Joker: Notebook & Video Game Console Skins". Basically they're a very high-quality vinyl sticker with custom graphics that you can use to cover your notebook or gaming console. They are made sort of like Post-It Notes where you can stick them on/off. A company called FATHEAD has made a few recently to tie-in with the Dark Knight Batman movie & they're pretty cool. The Bat-Blog received an e-mail recently from a loyal reader named DC MILLER. He is an artist working in the animation industry. In his spare time, when he's not slaving away at some project, he likes to draw for his own personal pleasure. One subject he totally loves is the "Batman Universe". He's a big fan & his work is really awesome! We plan on featuring more of it in the near future, but for right now, I'm posting a JOKER & GOONS Desktop Wallpaper he made. The Next New Episode of BATMAN: THE BRAVE & THE BOLD will be called "Death Race To Oblivion" & it will air on Friday, November 20th, 2009 on the Cartoon Network. The basic plot goes like this: Mongul holds Earth ransom, forcing it's greatest heroes--and villains!--to race for the planet's survival. It's a crooked bargain wherein even if Batman wins, he dooms his fellow heroes--if the villains don't doom them first!

New DC UNIVERSE ONLINE Statue - The JOKER

Here's a brand-new statue from DC Direct of THE JOKER as he appears in the new DC UNIVERSE ONLINE Video Game. I like that they went with a "classic comic book" version of the character, "The Clown Prince of Crime!" It's based on the artwork of Jim Lee. This statue will be hand-painted, cold-cast in porcelain and measure approximately 7.6" high x 5 1/4" wide x 2 1/5" deep. It will also be a Limited Edition piece. The retail price will be around $ 90.00 & it goes on sale near November 16th, 2011.

Right now, in Japan, the Pepsi-Cola Company & Kubrick Toys have teamed-up to do a give-away premium promotion that a lot of Batman Fans should be excited about. You can get a free BEARBRICK figure, each with a different "movie theme". There are 12 to collect & two of them are related to The Dark Knight Batman movie! One of them looks like Christian Bale's Batman & the other one is the Joker ( Heath Ledger )! Oh man, they're actually really cool!! Aaron's BATMAN AND JOKER TATTOO ART Photos

Hey Boys & Girls, it's time again for another awesome example of Batman Tattoo Art! This photo was submitted by our good friend Aaron. It shows an all-around design that features Batman, Joker, & the Bat-Signal in the Sky of Gotham City...it's beautiful! The Joker is the "Heath Ledger" version from The Dark Knight movie. I really like the colors in this thing, very vivid. Plus, the Bat-Signal sort of has a translucent effect that makes it look less solid & more like "light"...nice! Thanks Aaron for sharing this wonderful Bat-Tat. I know that everyone is going to really love it!

Halloween Costume Photos: The Joker, Poison Ivy, & Little Batman!

OK, ever since Halloween ended we have been flooded with tons of wonderful photos of Batman Fans from all over the world who dressed up in costume as their favorite Batman characters, that's AWESOME! Now here's a set of pics that is really great. Why? Well one reason would be that the costumes are very well done but the main thing is that Gary & his wife, Clara, introduced their 3 year old nephew into the world of Batman by actually making him...Batman! Gary dressed up as The Joker, Clara was Poison Ivy, & their cool nephew got to be "The Caped Crusader" himself! We all know that this will ALWAYS be a wonderful memory for the cute little kid, that's great. I bet everybody had a total blast! That is so cool! Thank you Gary for sharing these wonderful pictures & story. Please tell Clara she looks great in her costume ( good job ) & tell your nephew that his Batman Costume looks extremely awesome! The Dark Knight JOKER Has Been Spotted in Ireland!

An avid reader of the Bat-Blog, named Kieran ( who lives in Ireland ), sent us these wonderful photos of his recent Halloween Costume of THE JOKER that he created. The attention to details are very accurate. One thing I noticed is that the blue shirt he's wearing has the exact "hexagon pattern" as the one worn by Heath Ledger in The Dark Knight movie. The make-up is really nice too. Overall, a very well-executed job! Plus, as a treat, the last photo shows him with his friend "Two-Face". He's half Harvey Dent & half EVIL! This too is a really great costume. It looks like everybody had fun! Thank you Kieran for sharing these pics with us, I appreciate that!

BATMAN is at the Target Store Dollar Bins Again!

I got a wonderful email last night from a Bat-Blog Reader named Matthew who reported that TARGET Retail Stores are carrying Batman-related merchandise in their "Dollar Bins" again, awesome! So, be sure to keep an eye out on your next trip there. The "Dollar Bins" are usually located near the front of the store, as soon as you enter. Personally I really love the fun stuff they sell. Matthew said he bought a Batman Sticker Pack (with a play scene), 2 Activity Books, and 2 Jumbo Activity Books. There were also a lot more items that he did not purchase like: Another Sticker Pack, Motion Stickers, 4 Packs of Crayons (Batman themed and Joker themed), Markers, Push-Up Pencils, and 2 little Childrens Books one of which was a Riddler story. These are just in time for Back to School! Plus remember, you are never to old to color in a Batman Coloring Book, ha ha! It's the Clown Prince Of Crime as he appeared on the cover to the "Batman: The Man Who Laughs" Graphic Novel. It came out in 2009 & was done by Ed Brubaker and Doug Mahnke, a great book!
