BATMAN , ROBIN, & NIGHTWING Desktop Wallpaper...and The JOKER Too!

Please remember, every Wednesday here at the Bat-Blog is "Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday"! This week I'm very proud to showcase a special background sent in to us from our friend Alexandre. He made this desktop wallpaper that features Robin, Nightwing, & Batman. Of course they're action figures, but the clever thing is that the whole picture looks like a Sears family portrait...IT'S AWESOME! The lighting, poses, & camera angle, everything, is done very well. I know a lot of people will love it, thank you Alexandre, good job. Now the next background is one that I made. It's not as creative but JOKER FANS should like it. It's the Clown Prince Of Crime as he appeared on the cover to the "Batman: The Man Who Laughs" Graphic Novel. It came out in 2009 & was done by Ed Brubaker and Doug Mahnke, a great book! (( SPOILER ALERT )) HOT TOYS Finally Reveals The "Mystery Figure" in the Batman Cosbaby Set

You might remember the previous posts we did about the very cool Hot Toys BATMAN COSBABY Figures. They're making Classic Batman, Modern Batman, Robin, Batgirl, The Joker, Two-Face, Catwoman, & a "Mystery Figure"! Well that figure has finally been revealed...it's NIGHTWING! I knew it was gonna be him, ha ha! I know this has been news for a little while but I didn't want the surpirse to be ruined so I thought I would let it become more commonly known before revealing it. The additional vinyl figure looks pretty AWESOME! I really love these. They're so gosh darn cute, goo goo.

Xavier's BATMAN ANIMATED SERIES Artwork!!

OK, right now I could not be more proud! Yesterday I received an e-mail from a Bat-Blog Fan named Xavier. He is 9 years old, in the 4th Grade, & really loves to draw comic book characters. He even has a cool website, called "Super Creations", where he shares his artwork. He also really really loves the Bat-Blog! In the letter he sent this picture he recently drew to help promote the Bat-Blog on his website. It's EXTREMELY SUPER-AWESOME!! Please be sure to click on it for a larger, more detailed, version. He drew a bunch of characters in the "Animated Series" style: Batman, Robin, Batgirl, Nightwing, The Riddler, Bane, Clayface, & even Two-Face!! I totally love it & really appreciate it, it's great! BATMAN, NIGHTWING, & MAN-BAT Desktop Wallpapers

Hey, you know what time it is...Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday™! Yes Sir, every Wed we post 2 FREE Batman-Themed Backgrounds for you to enjoy. But this week I thought I would post THREE because I am so cool, ha ha! Actually, the reason I'm doing 3 of them is because I'm trying to make each one as unique as possible. In other words, they are all very different characters...ya know, diversity! The 1st one is using a graphic from the new Batman: The Brave and The Bold cartoon with a real-life photo background. ( Let me know what ya think of that effect ). Then, the 2nd one is a really sharp CGI graphic of the MAN-BAT Villain from the new Lego Batman: The Video Game. This game is really popular. Last, but not least, is a brand-new image of Nightwing. I'm hoping these last 2 are "obscure" enough that somebody out there will appreciate them. I mean, you just don't see these 2 characters that often & believe me, if you need just backgrounds of "Batman" we have around 3000 here at the Bat-Blog - Check the Bat-Archives, lower left-hand side. ( OK, 3000 is an exageration but the number is close! ) If you have a favorite Batman character you'd like to see as wallpaper then please let us know...we aim to please.

David's BATMAN ANIMATED SERIES Wall Murals

Here's a room that all Batman Fans would love to live in. These pics were sent in to us by a friend over at Facebook. His name is David & he says that this is the room where he does a lot of artwork. You can see his Drawing Table over in the corner. There are some really cool pieces of Batman stuff laying around ( Toys, Statues, Books, etc... ) but, of course, the main focus of the room are the wall murals. There are 2 major themes here: Heroes and Villains. For the "Heroes Wall" we get Batman, Robin, Batgirl, and Nightwing on a rooftop in Gotham City. It's done in the graphic art style of "The Adventures of Batman and Robin" animated series. Then, we get some Villains: Two-Face, Poison Ivy, Catwoman, The Joker, Harley Quinn, Clayface, & Mr. Freeze. They're all hanging out in front of Arkham Asylum! The artwork here is very well done. Overall the room is extremely excellent! A special thanks goes out to David for sharing his personal space. We totally love this room!

Vintage 1966 George Barris Batmobile Car Spotted in Modern Day NIGHTWING Comic Book

A friend named Dave sent this pic because he knows I don't read NIGHTWING comics but in a recent issue ( # 152 ) they had an event that happened in the Bat-Cave & Nightwing used the 1966 Batmobile Car ( the one you normally see in the 1960's Batman TV Show with Adam West & Burt Ward ) to run down a few ninjas! The car looks awesome, in all it's glory! Plus, it's kinda funny to see it in a modern day comic book, ha ha! Thank Dave for sharing this. Thomas is NIGHTWING and BATMAN!!

OK, Ya gotta totally love these photos because this kid is so cool! His name is Thomas & his Dad sent us these wonderful pics. In the 1st two pictures we see Thomas as the Nightwing character & his costume is really really great! Plus, he has an awesome batarang. How cool is that?! Then, in the next group of photos, he is a different superhero because this is how he appeared at a special comic book convention dressed as the Dark Knight himself, Batman! I want to thank his parents for sharing these special family photos. Please tell Thomas he's an AWESOME SUPERHERO & he looks very very cool!

DC UNIVERSE ONLINE Video Game Desktop Wallpapers of BATMAN, ROBIN, NIGHTWING, & THE JOKER!

There's a new video game coming out later called DC UNIVERSE ONLINE that looks like it's going to be very cool! Of course the art direction is being lead by Jim Lee, a famous Batman Comic Book Artist, so that says a lot! The thing that's driving everybody crazy though is that there is absolutely NO release date yet! But, rest assured that as soon as we find out the Bat-Blog will let you know. For those who have never heard of the game it's a lot like "World of Warcraft" where you play online, become a character ( good or bad ), & roam around well-designed enviroments doing stuff. For your enjoyment we have made some "Background Wallpapers" you can use in a MySpace layout or just to decorate your desktop...enjoy!

Movie BATMAN - UNDER THE RED HOOD New Images
