We call it, "Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday"! OK, this week I thought I would use a Splash Page from a current Batman Comic Book. Actually, it's issue #697. The details are pretty cool & it features a ton of great characters like Batgirl, The Huntress, Red Robin, Man-Bat, Wildcat, & many more! The Artwork was Penciled by Tony S. Daniel, Inked by Sandu Florea, & the Coloring was done by Ian Hannin. Using the one graphic I made 3 versions: The 1st one is pretty straight-forward, it's the comic book page. The 2nd one is the exact same thing but toned-down ( way lighter ) so it won't mess with you being able to see your desktop icons ( some people like that ). And the 3rd one is formatted to fit the screen of an Apple iPod Touch or iPhone. Also, the other iPod Wallpaper is the future cover art to BATMAN # 700, which is starting to become very popular ( this was a request by a Bat-Blog Fan. It's Wednesday & that's when we post 2 free Batman Graphics Desktop Wallpapers you can use to brighten your desktop or use in a MySpace layout! The 1st one features beautiful artwork by the classic comic book artist Paul Gulacy. I think it looks pretty cool, like Batman is a God or something, ha ha! Cool Japanese BATMAN Apple iPod Earphones

In Japan there is a company called SKULL-CANDY who makes these very cool Audio Earphone Sets for your Mp3 Players, mainly the Apple iPod . Here are 2 they made with a Batman & Superman Theme. The neat thing is that I think they come with a set of Vinyl Figures too! Sorry, Not really sure. The Japan-based website I found these on was totally Japanese & I could NOT read a thing, ha ha! But either way these look like a lot of fun. As you can see, the ear-pieces have a set of snap-on "Bat-Logo" covers. But I gotta say that I totally love the vinyl figures way more!

The 1st one features Burt Ward as Robin, The Boy Wonder but with a twist! He's listening to a modern-day Apple iPod, ha ha. The 2nd picture is a really cool graphic I found of the Riddler. Finding ANY kind of Riddler graphic to use was a nightmare! Ya see, too make these wallpapers I need very large & very sharp graphics, this is the ONLY one I could find of the Riddler that was any good....hope ya like it.

The BAT-BLOG INTERVIEW On PLANET COMIC BOOK RADIO is Posted Now!

A few days ago I was interviewed by Javier Hernandez on his PLANET COMIC BOOK RADIO Podcast. This was my very 1st "LIVE" interview & I gotta admit it was really a lot of fun! He's a great host & the interview went along pretty smooth. To be honest I was extremely nervous, ha ha! At first all I could think about were the thousands of listeners but after awhile I just focused on talking with Javier, he's such a nice guy and a very good host, so that made it a lot easier. I know a lot of readers missed hearing it when it first came on, because of their jobs or whatever, but it's now posted on the PCBR website & you can listen to it anytime. It just streams on their page & it's like listening to the radio, very neat. Also, You don't really need to download any special software. BATMAN WALLPAPER BACKGROUNDS - Andy Kubert's BRUCE WAYNE IS BACK & Wacky JAPANESE BOOTLEG Graphics!

Alright! It's "Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday" again here at the Bat-Blog & this week we have some really really weird stuff. Now most of you know our Batman Wallpapers are usually breathtaking, plus elegant & tasteful, ha ha! Well, they still are this time but they're also kinda strange. The 1st one is using Japanese graphics from a Vintage 1960's "Batman Toy Briefcase". It was a bootleg item from Japan & that explains the unusual coloring. But it's a great part of Bat-history so there you go! the next image is from a future DC Comics Batman comic book showing the "Return of Bruce Wayne". Well, sort of. You see, when "Bruce Wayne Batman" was killed by Darkseid awhile back he wasn't really killed but sent back in time. He awakes much later & his mind is confused plus he doesn't quite know where he is or what his name is ( something like that ) &, the kicker, he still becomes "Batman" anyway! Oh yeah, he becomes the Dark Knight in the "Caveman Days", ha ha! But don't laugh. I think this is gonna be an extremely cool storyline ( or at least let's hope so ). The artwork here is done by Andy Kubert & it's totally totally incredible. Now, don't forget, the large wallpapers are for your computer desktop & the small ones are formatted to fit the screen of an Apple iPod Touch or iPhone...enjoy!

In fact, I seriously don't think we have ever seen him in any other media other than comic books, especially animation! So, here are some Bat-Blog Wallpaper Backgrounds to celebrate that fact. BATMAN AND ROBIN - Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday!

Alright, today we're doing sort of a test of something new to see how it goes! You know we always post a few Brand-New Free Batman Theme Wallpaper Backgrounds every week but I thought, besides the regular PC Desktop ones, we would also add some Apple Computer Backgrounds just in case you have an iPhone or an iPod Touch ( Please let me know if they work, I still have not tested them yet ). I mean, seems like a good idea, right? Besides, it's "Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday" so let's go crazy!! Now, the colorized version, with Batman & Robin swinging through the sky of Gotham City, was made using artwork by an extremely talented Graphic Artist named Dean Trippe. I have always liked Dean's work & his special cartoon-style. Just "Google his name" sometime & you'll see some really cool stuff! The 2nd wallpaper, that is mostly Black & White, is artwork from Paul Pope. His work always seems to have a crazy energy! OK, please let me know which Wallpaper Background you like the best. FREE BATMAN WALLPAPERS For Apple iPod Touch & iPhone Backgrounds

The other night I decided to walk to the store because it's stupid to drive my truck just one block & back. Part of my New Year's Resolution is to try to lessen my carbon-imprint on the planet. I have even started to obsessively recycle, ha ha! But anyway I guess I got rewarded by karma because on my way I looked down on the ground & thought, "Oh my God, an iPhone!". But after picking it up I discovered that it was a brand-new iPod Touch, 32 Gb...WOW! Now the thing needs to be recharged & I will be borrowing a charger to do that. If the owner's info is on there in anyway then I will return it, but if not, it's mine. I mean, "finder's keepers, loser's weepers"...right? Upon researching this amazing piece of hardware I discovered that there's a lot of people who like to share "Wallpaper Background" images for this thing ( & the iPhone too ). So, I made a few to share here. If you have either device please try one of these & let me know if they work correctly. I'm pretty sure I made them the right size.
