New BATMAN: THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD Desktop Wallpapers - ADAM STRANGE & AQUAMAN!

Here are some BATMAN: THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD Desktop Background Wallpapers I made this morning using graphics from tonight's episode, "Mystery In Space"! It will feature Aquaman & Adam Strange as the main superhero guests. Since Adam Strange is new to the show I thought I would make some of just him. Ya gotta admit he looks pretty cool with his retro-style spacesuit! Also, remember, tonight's episode comes on at a different time so please be sure to check your local listings. For me, where I live, the TV show is coming on the Cartoon Network about 30 minutes later at 7:30 pm ( Central Time ). Oh yeah, one last thing, I know I kinda went crazy making a bunch of these backgrounds but I couldn't decide which images I liked the best, ha ha! So, please let me know which ones are your favorites, thanks.

New Toy Photos: BATMAN, THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD Cartoon Action Figures

Finally! Mattel just released some new images revealing the packaging design for their upcoming Batman: Brave and the Bold figure line. Slated to hit retail this January, each figure will star Snap and Switch technology allowing fans to reconfigure each figure's accessories into multiple gadgets on different plug-in points. Batman's jet pack becomes his battle armor, or instead, plug it into Blue Beetle to arm an ally. Snap and Switch features even work across the line letting you reconfigure vehicle parts as well...AWESOME! Also, remember that this TV Show is on the Cartoon Network every Friday, check your local listings for air time.

Vintage 1960's BATMAN TOYS and MEMORABILIA To Drool Over!

I have been covering a lot of news lately about a lot of the brand-new Batman Toys that are out there to collect & thought I'd do a post about some wonderful old vintage toys. The 1st photo is an amazing piece of Bat-History & also quite rare. It's the 1966 BATMAN BAT-WATCH by Amsco. This item is really beautiful. I mean the watch, with moving bat-hands, is very cool but the vintage graphics on the card are really great! I like the bright simple primary colors...nice! The next piece has a lot of graphic style also. It's an original bread wrapper for BATMAN BREAD! It too is from the mid-1960's. This pic was sent in by a Bat-Blog Reader named Wes who wanted to share this rare piece in his personal collection ( Thank You Wes ). The last photo is an item that is probably the most rare of all. It's a Justice League of America Rubber-Figure Set, Mint on Original Card. It was made by Multiple Toymakers ©1967. The figures include: Aquaman, Superman, Batman, & Wonder Woman. One thing about it that totally cracks me up is the original retail price back then was 19 cents!! Do you have any Vintage Batman Toys or Memorabilia in your toy collection that you would like to share? If so, then please e-mail us a photo today! The Bat-Blog is all about sharing the love of collecting, thanks.

AD: A Great Place To Buy Toys and Action Figures!

Brand-New BATMAN School Supplies To Look For!

Right now many parents are trying to get their kids ready for school. That means buying new school supplies. Well, a friend sent me these pics of a few notebooks & folders he found the other night at Wal-Mart. They're made by a company called "Innovative Designs". They have Batman, Joker, Aquaman, Superman, & The Flash on them so some collectors are gonna want them ( I bet I'll buy some eventually ). The weird thing is they use vintage 1980's stock art ( Artist - Jose Luis Garcia Lopez ) & one folder even has the old SUPER POWERS ( Kenner Action Figures ) logo on it! I guess the art director was going for a retro-80's vibe...that's cool. Thank you to the BATFAN for sending the great pics. Readers, be sure to click on the above photos for larger versions.

New BATMAN: THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD Happy Meal Toys at McDonalds!!

Finally! Today, McDonalds released a photo of what the new BATMAN: THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD Happy Meal Toys for the US market are gonna look like ( click on the pic up above for a larger version )!! There will be 8 toys to collect. Basically it's 6 figures & 2 vehicles. The figures include: Batman, Aquaman, Green Arrow, Blue Beetle, Plastic Man, & The Joker. The other ones are the Batmobile Car & Black Manta's Robot Ship. Plus, here's some added cool news. Each toy will be imprinted with a special code number that you can use to log-in at the McDonald's website to unlock a "Virtual Batmobile"!! Last night I went to McDonalds & asked then about this new set of toys & they said it would still be another week or two until they release them...So, what do you think about them?! ( Thanks to Ryan for the info! )
