The Electric Playground got to interview a few of the voice actors from BATMAN: THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD. We get to hear from Diedrich Bader, the voice of Batman, who is always really great because he's very funny & seems like a really cool guy. Then there is John Di Maggio, who is the voice of Aquaman. Yes, "Outrageous!". We also get to hear from James Arnold Taylor, who plays 2 different superheroes on the show: Guy Gardner & Green Arrow.

Over at MySpace a new friend named Tamika sent this very cool video she made where she had an interview with Chip Kidd about his new "BAT-MANGA: The Secret History of Batman in Japan" book. The video was shot during the book tour while he was at the Meltdown Comic Book Store in Los Angeles, CA. She wrote, "I was searching for Batman blogs and yours was one of the first to show up. I just produced this video piece on Chip Kidd's Bat Manga and I wonder if you could pass it on to your friends, I'm glad someone is an enthusiast too." Of course! Thanks Tamika for sending me this video. It's pretty interesting & very well-edited. Also, I'm a HUGE FAN of this Batman book, it's great!

People who have been reading the Bat-Blog for awhile might enjoy this, I hope, ha! But I was recently interviewed by a fellow Blogger & Batman Fan, named Jon, who writes the awesome RANDOM ACTS OF GEEKERY website. At his site he wrote some profiles of "Comic Book Related" Bloggers called "The Way of The Geek". I was # 6 in the series. Wow! It was really an honor to be included in this group of Writers. I know some of them, so that's kinda cool. Basically, Jon sent me a ton of questions to answer & I answered them. Then, he edited the content. Currently he does the voice for Batman in the BATMAN: ARKHAM ASYLUM Video Game & this is an interview by a leading magazine-style website named Gamespot. It's kinda cool.

Billie Rae Bates, Comics Continuum Cub-Reporter!

Ahhhh, look. While surfing the web the other night I came across some photos showing our good friend Billie Rae Bates doing some interviews at Comic Con International! Wow!! She is now a video reporter for the "Comics Continuum" website. Billie does a really great job here & I'm very proud of her. She got to interview a lot of people directly involved with different areas of the Batman character. Like, Actor Bruce Greenwood ( Batman: Under The Red Hood ) & Producer James Tucker ( Batman: The Brave and The Bold ). In fact, I'm embedding that "Tucker Interview" video down below where he "sort of talks about" the New BATMAN CGI Animated Cartoon, check it out!

Neal Adams is set to do an interview on the "Where Monsters Dwell" podcast. The word 'legendary' gets thrown around a lot these days but in this case it certainly fits the bill. From his work re-establishing Batman as a dark brooding figure to his work making Green Lantern/Green Arrow 'relevant' and from his work on a few small Marvel properties like X-Men and Avengers, Neal Adams has cemented himself as a legend in the comics industry. He joins WMD this week to chat about creator rights, how the industry has changed since he got in, his new Batman series 'Odyssey' and his new sketchbook coming from Vanguard Publishing 'The Art of Neal Adams'. It's gonna be Episode #113 so be sure to check it out & if you miss the original time you can always listen to it later.

New Motor Trend Magazine Does 1966 Batmobile Story & Adam West Interview!

Here are a few images from the summer edition of MOTOR TREND CLASSIC magazine where they do an article on the 1966 BATMAN TV Show BATMOBILE George Barris Custom Car & then an interview with Adam West...looks pretty cool! This is on the newsstands now so keep an eye out on your next trip to Borders or Barnes & Noble. ( Thanks to Paul B for sending the pics ).

BATMAN HOTROD CAR Resin Model Kit Design

The other day a friend reminded me of a wonderful website called SUGAR FROSTED GOODNESS. It's a site for "Graphic Design Nerds" ( I mean that in a good way, ha ha ) who appreciate good design in the skills of graphic & commercial art. It's also a neat page for visual eye-candy. While there I discovered a Graphic Artist / Illustrator named Chris Parks. He's from Wichita, Kansas & his main focus are corporate logos. He also likes to dabble in vinyl toy designs & came up with this amazing "Hot Rod Car" resin model kit featuring...Batman!!



Here's a photo of the model kit completed...


And here's another photo of the packaging & another "paint variation" on the kit. I Actually like the 2nd one better! Mainly because the colors of Batman are more like the "comic book version". Click on it to see a larger, more detailed, photo. I also love the graphics on the box. They look a lot those "Weird-O's Hot Rod Model Kits" from the 1960's. Especially the font design...nice!

New MTV Interview with Alicia Silverstone ( About 1997's Batman and Robin )

This video is about when Alicia Silverstone dropped by the MTV offices to hype her new diet book. When she was there a reporter asked her about any memories she has about making the 1997 "Batman and Robin" movie & being the "Batgirl" character. Her answers are sort of interesting. The reporter practically said the movie totally sucked & she didn't defend it at all, ha ha!

JUSTICE LEAGUE: CRISIS ON TWO EARTHS Cast Interviews by THE QUARTER BIN

THE QUARTER BIN website was lucky enough to get to go to the Movie Premier of JUSTICE LEAGUE: CRISIS ON TWO EARTHS and interview many of the people involved in creating the film. The 1st interview is with Actor James Woods who does the voice for Owlman. The 2nd one is the writer of the movie, Dwayne McDuffie, & the last one is with the always great, always wonderful, Andrea Romano - Voice Director.

Vintage Video: ADAM WEST BATMAN INTERVIEW Where Were You? 1966 John Johnson on WABC TV

This video segment was taken from the short-lived TV show which aired locally on Channel 7 WABC in NYC. WHERE WERE YOU? contained a segment called "Whatever Happened To...?". This was an update on Batman's Adam West, who in 1981 ( when this aired ) speaks about an upcoming movie based on Batman ( Tim Burton's 1989 Batman ), and what he was up to at that time.

One of my friends has a really great website called DIALBFORBLOG.COM & recently he posted this very interesting video on YouTube. It's an interview with Bob Kane that was shown on Canadian TV around the time of the 1989 Batman movie. In it he takes TOTAL credit for creating Batman, funny stuff.

Listen to how this reporter, towards the end, tries to turn Eric Robert's interview into a smear campaign against Heath Ledger....during a "tribute" to the guy! Oh man, I seriously HATE Fox News! But I do like how Eric totally flips her question around & denies what she's trying to imply...sweet! That's cool of him to stick-up for a friend & fellow actor.
