Video: BATMAN: ARKHAM ASYLUM Game - SILENT KNIGHT Gameplay HD Trailer

Eidos has released a new trailer from Batman: Arkham Asylum, a dark, action adventure game developed for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360. In this new video game, the player assumes the role of Batman as he delivers The Joker to Arkham Asylum. There, the imprisoned super-villains have set a trap and an immersive combat gaming experience unfolds. Developed by Rocksteady Studios, Batman: Arkham Asylum has an original script penned by Emmy Award-winning Batman writer Paul Dini. The game will hit the store shelves in summer 2009.

A friend just sent me a few screen shots from the brand new BATMAN: ARKHAM ASYLUM Video Game that's coming out soon for the XBox 360, Playstation 3 ( PS3 ), & the PC. In these pics you can really get a better view of his costume & the detailing is pretty cool ( click on them for larger, more detailed, shots ). So far all the graphics I have seen make this game look very interesting. Let's keep our fingers crossed that we finally get a good one!

BATMAN NEWS For The 2010 San Diego Comic Con!

Are you going to the 2010 San Diego Comic Con this year? Well, here's a couple of Batman items to keep an eye out for. The Graphitti Designs company will have a special limited edition BATMAN: ARKHAM ASYLUM ( Video Game ) action figure in their booth, #2315. It's the BATTLE-DAMAGED BATMAN!! It's sort of a special pre-release, since it will come out before the next official wave of figures. Also, Warner Bros announced that they teamed up with SDCC to give away 125,000 special tote bags that will feature many of their different commercial properties. There will be 11 different designs so be sure to try & get the one with "Batman: The Brave and The Bold", pictured up above. In fact, if you can get an extra one to give me then I would love you forever, ha! The other 10 designs will be: The Big Bang Theory, Chuck, Fringe, Human Target, Nikita, The Vampire Diaries, The Looney Tunes Show, Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated, Clash of the Titans & Brightest Day. OK now, the Bat-Blog isn't going to SDCC this year ( because we're total losers ) but, like every year, we will try our best to keep you up to date on any new information about the event that is related to Batman. New BATMAN ARKHAM ASYLUM - Black and White Statue

Here's a promotional photo we just got from DC Direct. This is the beautiful BATMAN: ARKHAM ASYLUM Statue. It's a part of the "Batman: Black and White Statue" Series. It was sculpted by Dave Cortes. This statue's image is based on the video game design. It measures approximately 7 1/4" high x 6 1/4" wide x 4 3/4" deep, is painted in monochromatic tones, features a Bat-logo-shaped base and is packaged in a black and white box. It looks like, because of the success of the 1st one, they're gonna make a sequel...AWESOME!! Batman's SCARECROW Villain Found in South Africa!

Earlier today I received a very nice letter from a guy named Johan who lives all the way in South Africa. He said he went to a club the other night called AQUA. The club was having their annual Halloween Party & a few people dressed-up in costume because there was a contest going on. Johan got his picture taken with the 2 guys who got 1st & 2nd place. One guy was Rorschach, from the WATCHMEN Graphic Novel & Movie. He came in second place. But the cool thing is that the Scarecrow, who recently escaped from Arkham Asylum, won First Place!! Thank you Johan for sending the wonderful photo. These are really great costumes & it looks like it was a very fun event! Plus, I'm glad that Batman is so popular there, that's very cool.

Most Bat-Blog Readers are very creative, intelligent, artistic people & some others are complete idiots, ha ha! But this post is about one of the creative ones! Here's some pics sent in by our friend Joey who, Halloween 2009, made a Scarecrow Costume...an incredibly AWESOME Scarecrow Costume! He took his inspiration from the character that appeared in the new BATMAN: ARKHAM ASYLUM Video Game. For people who have not played this game yet, & don't know what he looks like, I added a photo ( last one ) showing him. I reason I did that was because you have to see how amazing this costume really is! It's just totally great & a very good likeness. Well done Joey & thank for sending the photos. Now, I know Halloween is over & we're gonna be winding down our coverage, but a lot of people didn't get dressed-up until the actual night so we might get a few more pics. The holiday here has been pretty fun this year & I want to thank everybody who got involved. All of the "Costume Photos" this year have been totally insane, every single one of them. We even got a few pics of some homemade Batman Jack O' Lantern Pumpkins that were cool too. Anyways, I appreciate it a lot & hope everybody has had a Safe & Happy Halloween this year!

BATMAN: ARKHAM ASYLUM Video Game The Collector's Edition - XBOX 360 Version

game system is XBOX so they would totally freak over this! Personally, I prefer the Playstation & I really need to upgrade to the new verison, the PS3.OK, I thought I would post this just to torture you, ha ha! No, actually a good friend, known as The BATFAN, sent us these pics last night. He had just bought the brand-new BATMAN: ARKHAM ASYLUM Collector's Edition for his XBOX 360 console. Now when I first got these pics I didn't quite understand why so many pictures kind of looked the same. Then, pretty quickly I figured out that he went through a step-by-step process of slowly photographing the thing as he opened it so the experience would be like YOU are actually opening this thing up for the very first time & seeing things the way he did ...a very neat idea! Basically, in The Collector's Edition, you get the video game but it comes in a special Batman Display Case. The only way I can think of explaining it is "a bat-shaped briefcase...that's thick", ha ha. When you open that there are a few layers & you get a Batarang Prop with a display stand, some paperwork, a Leather-Bound Booklet, & the actual game disc. Now, my 2 small nephew's It's totally killing me that I can't play this game right now. All the reviews have been wonderful so I can't wait! I hope you guys are enjoying it already. I know some of you are, I have been flooded with e-mails saying, "Awesome awesome game!!". That's cool. I need to cry a little bit right now. Sorry...I can't type anymore.
