Some of you might remember a post I did recently about some of the new "Crane Machine" Plush Toys by Toy Factory. Well, I was contacted by them & there has been a few revisions to the 2009 catalog. For one, they will not be doing the Rubber Basketballs they had planned but to make up for it they are extending there "DC Super Friends" toy line to include 6 new plush toys called "Buddy Plush". The set includes: Batman, Superman, Aquaman, Green Lantern, The Flash, & Robin ( You know which two I am gonna have to get, ha ha ).

While surfing thru Flickr, viewing random Batman-related photos, I came across this one taken by none other than Wil Wheaton! He went to some carnival in, I think, Los Angeles & shot this funny picture. These Batman plushes were prizes at some outdoor carnival game. Wil played "Wesley Crusher" on Star Trek: The Next Generation ( love that show ). He was recently a guest actor on Numbers & played a "Comic Book Dealer Jerk", that was funny! It was on the other night, one of my favorite shows. Wil also writes a very famous blog & writes books. I'm showing one of his book covers here so you can visualize who I'm talkin' about ( The Batman picture is NOT in the book ). He doesn't know I'm writing this so I hope it's ok to use his photo, it said it was "public". I have a friend who's an autograph collector & he said he met him a few years ago. He said he was a really nice guy, very "down-to-earth", that's cool. Mainly I just thought the Batman Dolls photo was humorous.

Who's the cutest little Batman? You are, yes you are! Ha Ha, TOY FAIR 2008 has presented a huge amount of new Batman Toys that will be released this year. Fisher Price ( Now owned by Mattel ) will release a line of plush toys called "BE BRAVE BUDDIES" which will be large Plush Toy variations of their DC Superfriends action figures. In the 1st wave we'll see Superman, Flash, Hawkman, and, of course, Batman! Now, you all know that I am gonna have to get that Batman doll, he's too gosh-darn cute, ha ha! I even like the fact that they made a Hawkman. No offense to that character but it's kinda weird they did him considering he's not as well known as like Superman or Flash. But, that's cool! Another cool thing is it looks like there will be 2 versions of Batman: Blue/Gray & Black/Gray...which color variation do you like best?
Oh Yeah! You know those Character Plush Toys that are made for Toy-Crane Vending Machines? Well, there's a new company called SUGAR LOAF & they're gonna have some of the DC SUPER FRIENDS. In fact, if you're lucky, you might be able to find some right now, & if not, then very very soon! They have already started to pop-up on eBay so I suspect they're, like, totally available! In the 1st Wave of Plushes they made Batman, Robin, The Joker, The Penguin, Aquaman, Superman, & the Flash! These kind of remind me a little bit of the Beanie Babies sold by the Warner Bros Store many years ago...but way more cute. If anyone out there sees any different superheroes or villains then please let us know!
More News from TOY FAIR 2010: OK, you know the toy company named FUNKO? They make those awesome Wacky Wobbler Nodders. I really love those things. Well, now they have another division in their company that makes cute Character Plush Dolls ( or Plushes ). They're doing the Wizard of OZ, Alice in Wonderland, & the Justice League of America! To get things started here are Batman, The Flash, Green Lantern, & Superman. Now this totally makes me wonder since they finally ( finally! ) got the right to do DC Comics comic book characters then maybe, just maybe, they might start to make a few Funko Bobblehead Nodders. That would be so awesome!!

I met a new friend the other day who's a very talented artist. She loves Batman & also likes to create arts & craft projects. In fact, here are a few examples right here. Check it out! She knitted these character plush dolls by hand. I mean, the knitting must have taken hours, if not, days to make. Here are BATMAN, THE JOKER, & HARLEY QUINN!! They each measure around 15" tall & the last photo shows her with one of the dolls for scale-size. I knew my readers would love seeing these & she was kind enough to send some great photos. Thanks Maris, they're true works of ART!! She has also made a few others worth looking at like Jimi Hendrix, Boba Fett, Star Wars Stormtrooper, etc... Here's a link to check it out:
