Video: 1992 McDonalds BATMAN RETURNS Movie Cups TV Commercial

Anybody remember these BATMAN RETURNS Movie Cups from McDonalds? I do, I collected them all! I also remember being sort of upset that they were plastic because for a long time these Premium Promo Glasses from Fast Food Restaurants used to be high-quality glass. Then, I guess some moron sued them or something ( or maybe they became too expensive to produce ) so they all went to plastic. But, these BATMAN RETURNS Cups were still pretty neat & the graphics were really nice. The lids were actually a Mini-Frisbee that didn't fly very well, but looked cool. There were 6 to collect: Batman, Catwoman, The Penguin ( 2 ), Bruce Wayne, & The Batmobile. Now, I got the photos here so you can see the cups & that "Newspaper-looking thing" was the Paper Placemat used at McDonalds for the trays. I remember a HUGE Standee Store Display Sign that was in the store too but couldn't find a pic at the time of this post. But really the main thing are the cups & the video. Yes, the TV Commercial! New YOUNG JUSTICE McDonald's Happy Meal Toys Coming Soon!

Starting next week be sure to visit McDonald's for their next Batman-related Happy Meal Toy Promotion. OK, it's actually for the new YOUNG JUSTICE animated TV series from the Cartoon Network, but there will be Batman and Robin toys included, ha! Just check your local restaurant for details. Also, here's a photo of the complete set... looks cool!

BATMAN RETURNS MOVIE McDonald's Banners

For the 2nd Batman Movie, BATMAN RETURNS, McDonalds had a special Happy Meal. The toys were pretty cool. There was a Batmobile, Batman in Jet-Car, The Penguin in Penguin Boat, & Catwoman in her Catmobile. I know everyone has seen those but this is something I didn't know. Some very lucky McDonalds had GIANT-SIZE Vinyl Advertising Banners with Catwoman ( Michelle Pfeiffer ), Batman ( Michael Keaton ), & The Penguin ( Danny DeVito ). Here's a photo showing their beauty...click on it for a larger, more detailed, picture. I would love to have the Catwoman one...MMMEEEOOOWWW!

DC SUPER-HEROES McDonald's Happy Meal Toys from ARGENTINA

Ramiro, our great friend from Argentina, sent us this very recent photo of the current McDonald's Happy Meal Toy promotion in Argentina. They are doing the DC SUPER-HEROES Game Card Holder Set. Basically, there are seven "action figures" that are sort of flat ( but still 3-D ) & their bodies open to store DC Superhero Game Cards inside. The characters include Batman, Robin, Batgirl, Catwoman, Superman, Wonder Woman, & The Flash! I love the figures & the old-style "McCube Box" is kinda neat to see again. Why didn't we get these here in America? Right now we have the Teenage Ninja Mutant Turtles & Madame Alexander Wizard of OZ Dolls....lame! We wanna thank Ramiro for another great picture, thank you bat-friend! If any BAT-BLOG Readers from outside the USA has some Batman Toy News then please send it in!

New BATMAN: THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD Happy Meal Toys at McDonalds!!

Finally! Today, McDonalds released a photo of what the new BATMAN: THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD Happy Meal Toys for the US market are gonna look like ( click on the pic up above for a larger version )!! There will be 8 toys to collect. Basically it's 6 figures & 2 vehicles. The figures include: Batman, Aquaman, Green Arrow, Blue Beetle, Plastic Man, & The Joker. The other ones are the Batmobile Car & Black Manta's Robot Ship. Plus, here's some added cool news. Each toy will be imprinted with a special code number that you can use to log-in at the McDonald's website to unlock a "Virtual Batmobile"!! Last night I went to McDonalds & asked then about this new set of toys & they said it would still be another week or two until they release them...So, what do you think about them?! Next McDonalds Happy Meal Toys Might Be BATMAN - THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD!

OK, The Bat-Blog has not been able to totally confirm it yet but there's a major rumor that the next set of McDonalds Happy Meal Toys in the US could possibly, maybe, be BATMAN: THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD!! We know that they recently made some "Brave and The Bold" toys for their restaurants in foreign locations ( Click HERE for the story on that ) a few months ago. We'll let ya know what we find out. In the mean time, stay tuned to the Bat-Blog for future bat-news.

BATMAN FOREVER Movie Tie-In Food Products

I know there are a few fans of BATMAN FOREVER & I do like wacky movie promotions so here's some cool vintage food product tie-ins. Kelloggs made 4 different CORN POPS Cereal Boxes with the characters Batman, Robin, Riddler, & Two-Face. So did McDonalds for their large-sized French Fries. Homer Simpson says, "Mmmmmm, McDonalds French Fries."

Details on the BATMAN: THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD BATMOBILE Happy Meal Toy From McDonalds

Regular readers of the Bat-Blog are gonna know about our good friend "Batmobilly". He's a Super Batman Toy Collector whose main focus is on the Batmobile Toys. Well, he recently got one of the McDonald's Happy Meal Toys from Argentina of the Brave & The Bold Batmobile and looking at it he thinks the new one for the US market will probably be the same thing. The car is actually an empty shell that comes apart to reveal a hidden bat-cycle inside. Remember, the new toys from McDonalds in the US should be out pretty soon so be sure to keep an eye out for them ( Thanks to Batmobilly for sending the fun pics ).

Here's a really great website to check out! The DC Hero Zone & McDonalds have teamed up to bring you these FREE amazing online cartoons titled "HOW TO BUILD THE PERFECT BAT TRAP" featuring the superheroes & villains from LEGO BATMAN: The VIDEO GAME. LEGO BATMAN THE VIDEO GAME McDonalds HAPPY MEAL TOYS Due September 12th

Secret reports have been leaked that McDonalds next Happy Meal promotion, after the current "Star Wars, The Clone Wars" promo, will be LEGO BATMAN: THE VIDEO GAME. I've been trying to get some photos or more information but the only thing I have been able to find is that there will be about 8 Happy Meal Toys with a Lego Batman-theme. Plus, they are due for release on Sept 12th, 2008. The Official McDonalds website has this small picture shown up above. If any readers get news, especially pics, please let me know.

This post was created to share some totally hilarious Batman-related pictures sent in by a few loyal Bat-Blog Fans...Yes, these people ROCK! The "Bat Cat" is both funny & very clever. The one with the Heath Ledger JOKER as Ronald McDonald is priceless. But the weirdest one has to be the "Batman Snuggie Throw" because it is a real-life actual product, HA HA!

I guess that today is "Joker Day" here at the Bat-Blog! Personally, I have been so busy creating the brand-new Bat-Blog website that I have sort of been neglecting this one a little bit & I'm sort of behind in my e-mails. There's kind of a backlog right now, sorry. So, if you're a reader who has mailed us some goodies please look for them soon. Here's one sent in to us by a friend named Brian. It's a funny photoshop picture of the Joker ( Heath Ledger ) as Ronald McDonald, HA HA HA HA HA! I was taking a sip of coffee at the exact moment I opened this one & almost shot coffee through my nose, I laughed so hard, ha ha! Yeah, good times. I guess I need to explain about the "New Bat-Blog". I now have a HOST & I'm embedding a Wordpress Template into it. It's been a lot of hard work so far & it doesn't look like I have done anything yet. It's gonna take some time but in the future there will be a brand-new Bat-Blog. I can already tell that it's gonna be a much needed improvement! With the success of The Dark Knight movie my traffic has nearly doubled. Plus, near the end of this month is the two year anniversary of this blog & for the event I want to implement the new page. It's sort of exciting! I hope I can get it done in this time frame but it does look like it might take longer. Crunching code takes many many hours so we'll see. But, I'll keep everybody up to date & in the mean time you can always come here for new material. One last thing: Thanks Brian for sending this photo, it's awesome!!

Here's a very RARE video clip of an older TV Commercial for the 1992 BATMAN RETURNS movie Happy Meal Toys at McDonalds. But, I gotta say, that I don't remember these "Batman Neck Pens" as a premium. What's the deal here?! Were these made for the foreign market? And if so, then from where? It shows 4 different pens to collect: Batman, Catwoman, The Penguin, & even the Batmobile Car! Well, I guess that these are now officially on my wish list. But that's cool, there's always something new to hunt for!
