Chip Kidd's ARTBREAK Rock Concert Event in New York City - Dec. 29th, 2009

Music Video: BATMAN SINGS QUEEN! Rome, Italy

When the Dark Knight is not fighting crime in Gotham City he likes to sing on stage in a rock band. No, really, I have the video to prove it! OK, this is not the real Batman but a group called "Innuendo".They did a cover to Queen's classic hit "One Vision". They performed it LIVE this last Halloween at a Rock Club called Geronimo's in Rome, Italy. I think they did a pretty good job on this song! Not bad at all! He's been playing Big Band music ( Rockabilly style ) for quite awhile now & is really great in concert! He plays all over the world so, if you get the chance, go see him play!

Vintage BATMAN POSTERS : Rock Music Concert & Retail Store Displays

I keep a lot of reference material & pictures handy to do these posts. I have a folder on my PC where I dump tons of Batman related photos & then when it's time to post I go there. This morning I saw a few pictures that created a "theme". Here are some Vintage Batman Posters I thought were pretty cool. The 1st photo is a set of 2 Retail Store Display Posters for Batman Fruit Drink & Dairy Products. They were made during the 1966 TV Show & are double-printed so that a grocer could fold in them in half, hang them on a wire in the grocery store, & have visuals on both sides. I seriously love the cheesy retro-graphics, ha ha! The next poster is a RARE Vintage 60's Rock Concert Poster for a show at the Fillmore Auditorium on March 18, 19, & 20th. This baby has got to be super-RARE! The last poster is a photo sent in by a friend. It's a promo poster from a comic book shop in the Netherlands & the cool thing is that it has foreign language on it. It's from the 1980's & has awesome graphics! ( Thank you John for sending the cool picture ).

But anyway it's from a guy who's a musician & one Halloween he & his band members all dressed up in costume on stage. I thought this picture was kinda funny with Batman playing the guitar! THE WAYNE MANOR - Holy Rock and Roll History, Batman!

Here's a wacky piece of Bat-History that I never knew about. Back in the mid-0260's there was a nightclub in Sunnyvale, California named The WAYNE MANOR. The club was decorated like the Batcave with Batman-themed wall murals. Plus, the wait staff all dressed-up like Batgirl or Catwoman, MEOW. It only lasted a little over a year but it must have been really really great! I was only 3 years old at the time it was open but I know I would have loved it, ha! ADAM WEST THE BAT Will Be In Concert in Hollywood,CA!

Hey everybody, a Punk Rock group called "Adam West: The Bat" will be playing in North Hollywood, CA on April 23rd, 2010 from 8PM - 2AM. They will be playing at the CIA - The California Institute of Abnormal Arts. The group is made up from a group of cosplayers who like to dress-up as Batman, The Flash, & 2 Jokers!
