Our friend Guenter, who lives in Germany, recently sent us these photos he took at an outdoor event in 1990. The cute kid is his son who, at the time of the photo, was 5 years old. His name is Meik & it must have been a great experience for him to see the real 1966 Batmobile! In fact, in the last photo, it looks like he's trying to steal it, ha ha! I don't know why, but I love it when people share their personal photos & stories. It really puts a human touch on the whole "Batman Fan" thing. Guenter, Thanks for sending the wonderful photos, I appreciate that. They're great! Readers, be sure to click the above photos for a larger, more detailed, version. Also, be sure to send us some of your favorite pics! The e-mail button is always on the top right-hand side of this blog.

This weekend, actually April 16th through the 19th, 2009 ( Thurs - Sunday ), the CELEBRATION EXOTIC CAR FESTIVAL will be happening in Sebring, Florida. One of the main stars of the event will be George Barris & his amazing custom cars he has made for both movies & television. The original 1966 Batman TV Show Batmobile will be there plus the Monkee Mobile ( The Monkees ), The Munster Mobile ( The Munsters ), The Countach from the Cannonball Run movie, The DeLorean from Back To The Future, "KITT" Car from Knight Rider, the Original Star Wars Landspeeder, plus many many more! OK, I mean, there will be tons of other race cars, vintage classic, wacky customs, etc....way too many to show or list here, ha ha! It looks like a pretty cool event & how often do you get to see a real-life Batmobile! For more convention information be sure to visit their website ( click on their name up above ).

I woke-up this morning to some very cool Batman pictures in my email box, that's always awesome! They were sent in by a Good Bat-Blog Citizen named Batmobilly. He shot some pictures of a few posters he has had professionally framed & they look really GREAT! ( Be sure to click on them for larger examples, they're really cool close-up ). The 1st one is a poster from Eskimo Pie & Welch's Fruit Pops when they had a tie-in promotion with "The Adventures of Batman & Robin" TV cartoon back in 1996. If you remember, you could get some trading cards on the back of the box & there were 12 different ones to collect. This poster was a mail-away item. I totally love the graphics on here because that TV series was so wonderful. The next poster advertises a Hot Rod Car Show event they had in Boston called "The World of Wheels". It's from 1993 & features a bold picture of the Batman movie Batmobile car! That would have been pretty cool to go to. Now, here's a unique piece of Bat-History, this poster was once accidentally shown on the "Home Improvement" TV Show. It happened when Tim Allen's character, while on a road trip, stops at a convenience store to ask for directions. The episode was called "You're Driving Me Crazy, You're Driving Me Nuts". Now, check out the last poster here. It's a comic book-style image of the 1966 Batman TV Show when they're firing-up the Batmobile. You know the scene, "Atomic batteries to power, turbines to speed. OK, ready to move out!". Wow! I wanna thank Batmobilly for taking the time to shoot these incredible photos. I gotta admit that I have never seen the last 2 posters here. But, sharing the love of collecting cool Batman stuff is really the main focus of the Bat-Blog!

This weekend will mark the historical delivery of the first Barris Kustom 2010 Chevrolet Camaro "Spirit" to a Chevrolet dealership in the USA. This long awaited American automobile industry event will be held Saturday, April 10th, at Community Chevrolet in Burbank, California. George Barris, "King of the Auto Kustomizers" and American icon, will drive the 1st car into the dealership himself immediately following the 2010 Annual Burbank on Parade. George Barris and the new Barris Camaro "Spirit" are a major feature in this year's parade. Along with other unique kustom cars, the famed Barris 1966 BATMAN TV Show Batmobile will also be on display. Yeah, you read that right! If you go to this event you can see one of the original '66 Batmobiles in person! ( Now, something to keep in mind is that George Barris will ONLY be available for autographs between 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm ). Awesome! So, if any Bat-Blog Readers go to this thing then please send us some pictures!!

Yesterday, a very good friend to the Bat-Blog named "BatJoe", got to see the original 1966 Batman Batmobile Car with his kids at a "Cruising The Drag" Annual Car Show in Great Falls, Montana! The 2 pieces of photographic proof show "BatJoe" with his kids next to the car & another one where he is IN the car! Now, I know from personal experience that once you sit in an original Batmobile that you never NEVER want to get out! He said that when the kids saw the car they totally freaked out, ha ha! That's awesome!! I would have loved to have seen the expression on their faces. I bet their eyes popped outta their heads, ha ha! It sounds like everyone had a great time. Thank you very much BatJoe for allowing us to share these pics, they're very very cool. As always, I gotta remind readers that if they have any fun "Batman Experience" photos to share then please do! Our wacky e-mail button is always on the top right-hand side of this page, thanks!
