Here is a snapshot of a Custom Batmobile used for a kid's ride in Rouen, France ( near Paris ) that our good friend Stephane saw last weekend. OK, first of all I am so jealous she is in France, ha ha! I've always loved that part of the globe & I will visit there someday. Second, thank you Stephane for sending this wonderful photo...it's the French Batmobile, how cool!! You must have freaked out when you saw it & I appreciate that you thought of the Bat-Blog.
The other day I found an old vintage 1960's sales catalog that had a great ad for the Official Batman & Robin Batmobile Rider From Louis Marx & Co. This ride-on toy was sold in the late 60's to capitalize on the popularity of the , now classic, 1966 TV Series. The picture shows a little kid riding the toy & it has a very cool "graphic look" about it so I knew I had to post it! I was gonna do a post with a theme of "Old Batman Vintage Ads" but then I got an e-mail, from a friend named John, who sent me a picture of the original box for this toy. WOW! The art work on the box is so beautiful that I knew I had to do a post JUST about this toy!! ( Be sure to click-on that picture for a much larger, more detailed, photo! ) Now, I've done a write-up about this toy in an earlier post ( Check The ARCHIVES ) but I thought I could add some more new pictures here. Check this out! if you live near Australia then you might have seen one of these Batman Rides in your local Retail Store! It's a Vending Machine with Ride-On Toys of the Batmobile, Batcycle, & Bat-Jet Ski!! Plus, it just has incredible graphics all over it...I want it! This photo was sent in by a good friend named Belinda & I'm trying to get her to steal it for me. I hope she's able to get away with it. I'll keep you updated on that, ha!
The Batmobile has been spotted in Pennsylvania...at a TOYS R US in Cheltenham, PA to be exact! A friend to the Bat-Blog, named Michael, just recently saw this BATMAN FOREVER MOVIE Vending Machine Toy Ride-On Batmobile & had to send some pics to us. I like how it looks sort of "cartoony" ( I just invented that word ). Plus, it's always fun to see one of these things. Now I know a lot of people totally hate this film but I actually kinda like that it is so bad. Now obviously I would have prefered for the film to be good, or even great, but since it's not we might as well accept it. "Don't cry over spilled milk", my Grandmother used to say. I wanna thank Michael for taking the pictures for us, I really appreciate that, it's a very cool car!
Every single time I look at this awesome photo I totally crack up, ha ha! A friend named Scott sent me this pic he took last year at the West Midlands Safari Park in England. They had one of those 1995 BATMAN FOREVER BATMOBILE CAR Vending Machine Rides outside. You know what I'm talking about. You see these sometimes at Grocery Stores. I really like the inventive creativity of some of these. I almost consider then ART! He looks to be a little too big to ride this but he did it! Thanks Scott for sharing this wonderful pic, I appreciate that...and needed a good laugh.
