Zdravko's Favorite BATMAN MEMORIES

Here at the Bat-Blog we have a good friend named Zdravko. He recently came across some great Batman-related photos while looking through some old family pictures. The 1st one shows him as a little boy standing next to a special Batman Birthday Cake that his Dad had made for him...that's cool! His Dad did a great job because the cake looks really nice. The 2nd photo is from his Baptism as a small child. His Mother is carrying him in Church. In it, you can see he's holding a Batman figure. Yes, he took Batman with him! The photo is from the mid-1990's & the toy is actually a Topps Bubble Gum Candy-Filled Hard Plastic Figure that was made around the time of the BATMAN RETURNS movie. I have one of those, how funny! THE DARK KNIGHT Batman Movie BAT-POD Birthday Cake!

OK, Here's a photo of a pretty cool Batman Birthday cake that sort of cracks me up, & really impresses me with it's inventiveness, all at the same time! It was made to look like the Bat-Pod Motorcycle used in THE DARK KNIGHT movie. As you can see in the above photo, the wheels are made out of 2 cakes put together. In fact, I think the whole thing is actually edible! Either way it's really cool. I wanna thank our friend Lauren for sending us this wonderful photo. We seriously like getting e-mails from BAT-BLOG readers & one of the things we ask for sometimes are photos of their personal Batman Birthday Cakes! I know it's kind of weird but we think they have a lot of humor plus they are very cool if you think about the artistry that goes in to making them. We have been extremely impressed with all the variations we have received over the last year. Also, the main ingredient is LOVE. Silly Batman Birthday Cakes From Brazil!!

OK, now I know if I just published these photos of silly Batman birthday cakes then that alone would be kinda funny, or quirky, but there's also something else happening here. I got these tonight from a Bat-Blog Reader named Paulo who sent them because the Bat-Blog just recently celebrated it's 3rd year anniversary. That's great & I really appreciate that but the cool thing, for me, is that I learned something new. I asked him, "Why is Batman sitting on the cakes? That's ...kinda weird!". He laughed & just said that it's a Brazilian tradition. That a lot of kid's birthday cakes have this design. Wow! See, I never knew that & I learned something new about the world. I learned something new about another culture. I know this all seems kind of corny but I really love that! I think one of the things I like best about doing this blog is getting to learn more about the world as a whole & learning to love diversity. I'll admit I'm kind of stupid about some things & getting the chance to learn about other people & places is just a rare treat I never expected when starting this dumb blog. So, Thank You to Paulo for these great pics (they're hilarious!) and thank you to all the readers who have written lately expressing their appreciation for the Bat-Blog. It really really means a lot to me.

Xavier's Cool BATMAN THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD Birthday Cake!

Our good friend Xavier recently had a birthday & he got this extremely awesome Batman Birthday Cake. Oh man, I am so jealous! Seriously, this thing is so cool! It's the version of Batman from the BATMAN: THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD animated series, which is great because I really love that TV cartoon. OK, just for fun, I made a Batman Wallpaper of the image from the cake ( I hope Xavier likes it but other Bat-Blog Fans can enjoy it too ). Oh yea, before I end this post I can't forget to tell Xavier, "HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! Dude, I hope you got some cool stuff!"

Batman BIRTHDAY CAKE Photo From Bulgaria!

A new friend to the BAT-BLOG, named Zdravko Genov, gave us this photo of the Batman Birthday Cake he had recently. It's shaped just like the Batmobile from the Animated Series & it's extremely cool!! There are also 2 PVC figures used as decoration. The Batman figure looks like the McDonalds Happy Meal Toy from a few years ago but the Robin is one I have never seen before. The other thing that's kind of neat is that he lives in Bulgaria...wow! See, Batman is popular all over the world, that's great!! Thanks again Zdravko for the cool picture, we love it.

OK, It's time again for a wacky BATMAN BIRTHDAY CAKE photo! This one was sent in by Debbie. She said, "I know you have some weird fixation with Birthday Cakes so I'm sending this pic to you, enjoy!". Perry's BATMAN THEME BIRTHDAY PARTY CAKE Extravaganza!

One thing I love about doing the Bat-Blog is being in touch with lots of other Batman fanatics who are almost as crazy as I am, almost. But one of the coolest things is when they send photographic proof! Please check out the various Batman Birthday Cakes shown up above. All of these are cakes that our friend Perry has had so far. The years range from 1995 to 2008. Well, sounds to me like it's time for another one, ha! Have you ever had a Batman-themed party? Please send us some pics. OK, regular readers know we post 2 Batman Desktop Background Wallpapers EVERY Wednesday. We call it "Wacky Wallpapers Wednesday", ha ha! It's a shot of the Joker's face. I love this picture because it's so sharp & The Joker looks crazy, Thanks Neal. The next wallpaper is a super-close-up color photo of a Batman Birthday Cake. Time Again For BATMAN BIRTHDAY CAKES!!

OK, it's sort of a gimmick I do here to publish photos of Batman Birthday Cakes, they crack me up! Personally I love them & think of them as ART. Anyway, I was kind of faced with a small problem. Recently 2 very nice readers of the Bat-Blog sent in some awesome photos of their birthday cakes. OK, what I usually do is post 1 cake photo on the 1st & kinda make it a "cake for the readers who have a birthday that month". That way they're spread out & it's not "cake day" every other day here, ha ha! But, I got to thinking. It's gonna be a month before I publish one of these & then the other person is gonna have to wait 2 months so I thought, "To heck with it, I'll put 'em both on tonight"! So, here they are in all their glory. I wanna sincerely thank both Kevin & Andy for sending these in, they're great! Kevin's cake is the 1st one with the glass snowglobe on top. He said just seconds after the photo was taken it fell off. The 2nd one is Andy's & it came with the nice Batmobile & Batman figure...nice! I still wanna invite all readers to send cake photos or cool shots of their toy collections. Thanks.

Wacky Batman Birthday Cake Time Again!

A nice feature of the BAT-BLOG sometimes is the Batman humor photos & one of the most popular are the pics of Batman Birthday Cakes. Well, a new friend of the BAT-BLOG, named Josh, sent this great photo of a cake his wife had made recently & it's awesome! I think she did a very very good job on it. I like the "action figure" on top which was actually edible. He said he saved it for a few days but it was in threat of going bad, ha ha! I also like the large cookies on top with the graphics of the Batman Animated Series Logo, nice! Thanx for sharing the photo Josh. I know alot of readers are going to enjoy this.
