I want to congratulate our friends who run the CLUB BATMAN Fan Club in Spain. This year is their 20th Anniversary! To mark the special occasion they received some special artwork by Norm Breyfogle. Of course he was one of the major Batman comic book artists of the 1980's & 90's. He was kind enough to allow them to use some of his art for their promotion. A friend of ours over at Facebook sent us this link to a really great BATMAN Fan Film. Now the thing that's extremely cool about it is that it was done in 1967! Yes, some kids back then must have had an 8mm camera or something & they put this BATMAN movie together! The thing that's so cool is that the "vintage look" of the movie gives it a lot of charm. Plus, they used some old Batman Halloween Masks as props, which are great to see! They also featured a fun 1966 Batmobile toy car that acts as the car in the movie. It's use is really clever... enjoy!
One of the things I love about doing the Bat-Blog is getting to meet other Batman Fans from all over the world. Like, I recently met a very nice guy named Silvio Ribas who lives in Brazil. He's a major Batman Collector & he has a blog that shares what it is like to be a Batman Fan in his country. It's pretty cool! He also wrote a book in 2005 titled "Dicionario Do Morcego", which means "Dictionary of The Bat" in Portuguese. Hopefully he will send me a Review Copy, then I can give you more information about it. Now, unfortunately, I can't read the Portuguese language but I still like to visit Silvio's website every now & then because it does have some cool pictures & with translation software I can sort-of read it. I love getting photos like this. Young fans who love Batman & Robin, that's so great! Here is our new friend Caleb and don't tell anybody, but in secret, he is Robin, The Boy Wonder! I'm serious, this guy is ready to fight crime in Gotham City! This home-made costume is totally AWESOME! Plus, I like the proud expression on his face. You know he must love wearing this thing, ha! Thank you Caleb for sharing your photos & please tell whoever made this costume for you that they did a wonderful job on it. You look super-cool!

The Bat-Blog recently made a new friend named Salvatore. He lives in Belgium, which is pretty cool, & he's a super-major Batman Fan! What, you don't believe me? The other night I was surprised to find a ton of "Batmobile photos" in my e-mail, ha ha! A Bat-Blog Reader named Michael sent along these pics with the explanation that he, his girlfriend, and Uncle were out one night & saw the "Batman Returns" movie Batmobile being hauled from one location to another. Now, you all know he must have freaked out! This happened in his hometown of Globe, Arizona on January 19th, 2009 ( my birthday! ). OK, I didn't get very much information so I'm not sure if this car is a replica or an original screen-used prop. But either way it still looks incredible & if it is a replica car then they did an extremely good job on it, it ROCKS! Seeing the car in person must have been a really great experience & you can tell by all the smiles that it was a very fun moment. Thank you very much Michael for sharing these personal photos. Getting to meet other like-minded Batman Fans is really the rewarding part of me doing this blog!
Awhile back we posted a photo of an extremely cute little boy named MAX. At that time he was a lot smaller than now so it looks like he's been growing like crazy! At an extremely early age he is already a super Batman Fan ( that's awesome! ). Well, here's another recently submitted photo showing him in his new Batman hat. OK, it's a little big right now but he'll grow into it, ha ha! He's so cute & it's very cool that he loves the Caped Crusader...Batman! Thanks to his Dad for sending us this totally precious photo. Max is really the sweetest little kid & I know that all the readers here will just fall in love with the little guy.
The other day I received an e-mail from a Bat-Blog Reader in Bulgaria! His name is Victor & he did this amazing Heath Ledger Joker make-up for when he went to go see The Dark Knight Batman movie. The funny thing about his e-mail is the way he assured me that the "blood" on the knife was really red paint he put on there. OK, Victor, I don't think you are really a murderer, ha ha ha! Thanks for sending this awesome photo & you did a really great job on the costume...an AWESOME JOB!
