Awhile back we did a story here at the Bat-Blog about some New DC Comics BATMAN Baby / Toddler Clothes they had at Target. It was a cute little Baby-Sized T-Shirt with the Batman Logo on it. Well, yesterday I received an e-mail from a girl named Tracy who said she didn't have a Target in her area & she asked if I knew of any other sources. Plus, she also asked if I knew about anything that was even smaller, like for a tiny baby. So after a little research, this is what I found. Here are 3 different Batman-Style Onesies each with their own style. The 1st one is black with the yellow oval-shaped Bat-Symbol. The 2nd one is light-gray with a Batman Comic Book logo that says, "BATMAN IN TRAINING". Now both of these would be appropriate for a small boy or girl but the next one, the 3rd pic, is really for a girl because it's the "Batgirl Outfit". It's also light-gray & has a bright yellow bat-symbol. Now, I already sent this information to Tracy ( she didn't specify if it was a boy or girl & later I found out it was a girl so that's cool because they have the "Batgirl Costume" ). Then I got to thinking that maybe there are some other readers out there with a similar question but didn't ask so...here ya go! You can find these "Batman Baby Onesies" by clicking the link button down below!
The 3 Batman Comic Book Pages you see here were a part of the CAPMA Promo Awards event. They offered a custom comic book story as a prize during the intermission. These were drawn by our friend Marvin Law who said, "It was an interesting challenge to draw a short story that was finished in just 3 pages, and featured no violence whatsoever." That is cool! Thanks Marvin for the update & sending the nice pics. Yes, the artwork is really great & I like how the entire story is told with NO words. The pictures just speak for themselves...great job! ( Readers, be sure to click on the above pictures for larger versions ). Bat-Blog Fans, if you would like to see some more amazing artwork by this talented artist then be sure to click HERE!
Here's some really cool BATMAN SUPERHERO PAJAMAS for Little Boys we saw the other night over at the "Crazy For Bargains" website. The graphics range from "Lego Batman" to the new "Batman: The Brave and The Bold" cartoon. They even have one pair that looks like it's from "The Dark Knight" movie &, of course, they have the Classic Superheroes Costume-Style with Cape. For more information on where to buy them just click on the link button down below.
OK, I'm a huge fan of the paintings & artwork of an artist named Ron English. So, the other day when I received an e-mail from a Bat-Blog Reader who told me he saw a "Batman and Robin Kids" Tattoo I was pretty excited. The tattoo artist did such a great job that I added the image of the original painting for comparison, check it out! Oh yeah, if you would like to see more work by Ron English then be sure to scan his POPAGANDA website. Here's a link:
Every year, close to Christmas, I always get totally excited about the TOYS FOR TOTS organization. Seriously, it's a wonderful charity. It's run by the US Marine Corp & they help underprivileged children try to have a decent Christmas. The basic idea is that they have Donation Boxes all over the place where you can drop off any packaged toy. Then, these toys are sorted & delivered to poor children. Think about Christmas times you have had in the past where you got a lot of cool stuff. There are many kids who don't get anything at all. This is so wrong! I have always thought that this holiday is "all about the kids". So, while you're out there at the malls, buying a bunch of crap you don't really need, please buy at least one packaged toy that you can drop-off at their box. You'll feel really great about it & it will seriously help a small child. Who knows, it might even change their life! TOYS FOR TOTS also accepts money donations online & if you need to find a drop-off location then be sure to check out their website by clicking HERE! One last thing, this message goes out to my Toy Collector & Toy Dealer Friends who might not be able to afford to buy new toys or donate cash: If you have some Sealed Action Figures & Barbies you don't care about anymore or some "old toy stock" that is gathering dust. Clean it off & donate that. Believe me, these kids appreciate everything they can get!
We all remember being a little kid & tying a towel around our necks to be Batman, hee hee. So, about once a week I'll post a wacky picture found on the internet of somebody all dressed up. I think it's funny to see adults dressed up & the little kids are very sweet....future Batman Collectors!
I recently got a message from a guy named Steve who is searching for a piece of his childhood. Well, he's looking for a Batman Rain Coat that he had as a kid in the 1970's. He wrote me to see if I had any information but I have never seen this bat-product before. The cool thing, he made these 2 awesome drawings to represent what he's looking for. Yeah, he got into heavy detail here, ha! the Coat was made out of Heavy Black Latex Rubber & was sort of like a Poncho. It had a Bat-Cowl Hood with a Clear-Plastic Visor. On the back was a Large BATMAN Logo ( 1970's Style ) inside a Yellow Oval-Shape. So, has anybody ever seen this thing? If so then please let us know. Thanks.
Here are 2 pics I came across on eBay the other day ( I think these items are still on there if you're interested ). It's for a custom-made Batmobile Car Bed & a Batman Dresser. WOW, These are really cool & I know that when I was a little kid I would have gone nuts over that Batmobile Bed, ha ha! And actually that "Batman Dresser" with the Bat-Symbol design is pretty cool for my current room. What?! You know you want one! Have you done some decorating with a Batman theme? If so then please send us some pics...thanks!
WHY SO SERIOUS? A Fan of the Bat-Blog, named Carl, was kind enough to send us these really neat photos of his 2 nephews wearing their Batman & Joker Halloween Costumes. Their names are Billy ( Batman ) & Victor ( The Joker ). They picked THE DARK KNIGHT movie versions which is pretty cool. Their costumes look really great, especially the Joker make-up. Also, to keep-up the holiday spirit in the name of Batman, they carved these extremely awesome BATMAN & JOKER Jack O' Lantern Pumpkins. Good Job Guys, they seriously look spooky!! I wanna thank Carl for sharing these personal pics with us & I hope you guys have a Happy Halloween!! As always, at the end of a post like this, I want to invite ALL Bat-Blog Readers to send us YOUR Halloween memories. Our e-mail button is always at the top right-hand side of this page, thanks!
Here's an extremely wonderful photo sent in by a Bat-Blog Fan named David. It shows his beautiful one month old Son Mason sporting one of the onesies that Mason's Mom picked up from Kmart. The great thing, it's made to look like a Batman Bat-Suit Costume! Thank you David for sharing this very sweet family moment. Your Mason IS a true Superhero!! I mean, "He is The Dark Knight!"
A new friend named Lauren, who just recently discovered this site, sent me a really nice letter saying how much she enjoys the Bat-Blog & you know I always love that! Well, She was also nice enough to send some really wonderful photos of an "Animated Batman Lamp" she recently bought. The thing is extremely cool! When you push a button on the base it lights-up, plays the 1989 Batman movie theme song, & then a fan blows his cape to make him look regal & majestic, ha ha! Oh man! How cool is that?! Then, when I e-mailed her to ask where she got it she said Amazon & then, because she was so excited about how cool this thing is, she made a video to show the functions of the lamp ...WOW! Thank you very very much Lauren! This thing is so awesome it really makes me want to get one tonight, ha ha! If any other readers would like to purchase one then all I ask is that you use the link button down below. For every sale I will probably make about 10 cents, ha ha! But really, I just think this is an amazing new piece of Bat-merchandise. Thanks again Lauren...YOU ROCK!
If you visit the Pottery Barn online store, in the kid's section, they have some new Batman products that are actually pretty cool! ( Plus, it's kinda weird that they would be selling "Batman stuff" ). The 1st photo shows the array of home accessories you can buy to make your kid's bedroom look like DC Superheroes. I like the Gotham City skyline mural on the wall. There are some pillows & sheets that look very nice. The sheets have vintage-retro graphics on them & I really like those a lot! I might have to get some for my bed, ha ha! Then, I don't know what this has to do with decorating, but they have an awesome Batman Floor Puzzle that is a replica of the very 1st issue of Batman. It measures about 2 foot X 3 foot ( pretty BIG ) & would look cool as a wall hanging or to have framed for the wall. It's kinda pricey though, at $19.00. If ya wanna check this stuff out use the link below:
You might remember awhile back we featured an adorable photo of a super-cute baby boy named Desmond, wearing a special Batman Toddler T-Shirt. Well, he's growing-up like crazy & here's a more recent photo. Look at him, he is sooooo CUTE! Plus, I love the great smile on his face too. I guess being a Batman Fan makes him happy, ha ha! His parents, Seth and Melissa, wrote this wonderful letter with their e-mail:
"Just wanted to share the great new Baby T-Shirts that we just found at Target. They finally came out with Batman shirts!!! Desmond , now 4 months old, was featured on the Bat-Blog in May in his only Batman shirt...but now he has two more and Daddy couldn't be more proud! So Desmond ( the Littlest Bat Fan ) wanted to model this fall's Baby Batman Line from Target :) Thanks for the Bat-Blog...We all luv it!!!"
Wow! Thanks Guys. Desmond is getting way bigger & I seriously love these pics, thank you. Also, thanks for all the kind words about this blog, I appreciate that. Please keep us updated to how Desmond is doing. Now, Y'all HAVE to get him a Bat-Cape to go with his outfit, ha ha!
Surfing the internet the other day I came across a company called FATHEAD who makes an extremely cool product for decorating a kid's play room or man's office. The item they make is a very large GIANT-SIZE super-high-quality wall sticker that you can easily put on the wall of any game room, den, bedroom, or living room. Most of their stickers are sports-related heroes from Football, Basketball, Baseball, Hockey, Nascar, etc...but recently they started to make superhero stickers & some of the characters they have are Superman, Spiderman, The Hulk, The Fantastic Four, The X-Men, & even our favorite hero, The Batman!! I'm thinking about getting the HUGE Batman Symbol Logo for my 2 nephews who share a bedroom. They're big Batman Fans & I know thy would freak-out over one of these, ha ha! If you're interested in seeing more information about these "Wall Sticker Decorations" then click the FATHEAD logo down below.
I stay awake at night tossing & turning because I worry if Wal-Mart is making enough money. So, I decided to do this post to help them out, ha ha! No, not really, actually our good friend THE BATFAN recently went on a wacky crazy shopping spree & found a lot of very cool Batman merchandise he wanted to share. Now, he mostly buys toys & other cool bat-collectibles, but when he came across these kid's clothes with these amazing Batman graphics, he HAD to get them! What you see here is an almost complete outfit ( at least for the Summer Swimming Pool ). Here's a Batman Baseball Cap & Swim Trunks. They both feature vintage 1980's comic book artwork by Jose Luis Garcia Lopez! Anybody familiar with this artist knows how good his stuff is. I like the hat but the graphics on the shorts are really really great! Too bad they're only children-sized or else I would buy a pair for myself. I wanna thank BATFAN for shooting these pics & also invite other readers to send in theirs. Have YOU found any cool brand-new Batman items recently? If so then please feel free to send us some photos, or if you can't then just let us know the "what & where", thanks!
I've been getting a ton of e-mails lately asking me where to buy some cool Batman, Robin, & Batgirl Halloween Costumes. Here's the place to get them on sale. They have costumes for both kids, adults, boys, girls, men, & women sizes too. They even have just a latex mask if that's all you need.I realize "adult-size" is harder to find but this place has them. They have some of the best prices on the web. Just click on one of the costumes bouncing in the picture below.
Later this year Scholastic Publishing is going to publish a few Batman-related children's books that focus on the characters from the new DARK KNIGHT Batman Movie. The artwork is pretty cool if you ask me! They will feature Batman and The Joker but it looks like they will also have Alfred, The Butler & Jim Gordon, The Police Commissioner too. Look for these later in fine book stores everywhere or grab some online at Amazon.
Who's the cutest Little Batman & Little Batgirl in the whole-wide world? You two children are, Yes you are! Ha Ha, I really love getting family photos like this sent to me. These 2 little kids are so sweet & cute. This is Max & Dena wearing their Batman and Batgirl T-Shirts! Now, Max has been on the Bat-Blog before, so he's already had his 15 minutes of fame, but this is the first time for Miss Dena & NOW she is the star too! Thank you to the proud parents for sending us this pic, it's wonderful. They are so cute.
