UNIVERSAL DESIGNS: Official Licensed BATMAN Movie Replica Outerwear

There is a brand-new company out there now that has just emerged that will be making Official Licensed Movie Replica Outerwear from the Batman Begins & The Dark Knight movies. The company is UNIVERSAL DESIGNS & they will be making Movie Replica Leather Jackets, Leather Pants, & Boots that totally look like the original Batman Bat-Suit Costumes worn by Christian Bale in the 2 mentioned movies. They are sort of being marketed right now as both costumes & motorcycle gear...we'll see. The attention to detail sounds totally insane so I bet these will be pretty popular. Shown here are some of the blueprint-style graphics they present for a few products. There are a few more pictures like this at their website & of course as soon as they release anything we'll let you know. Right now there are not any pictures of the actual product because it's all in the "developmental stages". But overall it sounds like a really great concept. If you're curious be sure to visit their website, here's a link button:

Boy's BATMAN SUPERHERO PAJAMAS & SLEEPWEAR

Here's some really cool BATMAN SUPERHERO PAJAMAS for Little Boys we saw the other night over at the "Crazy For Bargains" website. The graphics range from "Lego Batman" to the new "Batman: The Brave and The Bold" cartoon. They even have one pair that looks like it's from "The Dark Knight" movie &, of course, they have the Classic Superheroes Costume-Style with Cape. For more information on where to buy them just click on the link button down below.

New BATMAN T-SHIRTS Over At SUPERHERO STUFF

The other night I was kinda bored & decided to check out what kind of new Batman Merchandise there was out there. My main focus was some kind of cool T-Shirt or other clothing. One website that I totally love to buy from is called SUPERHERO STUFF. They have great service & an awesome variety. While there I saw they had a bunch of brand-new T-Shirts & here's the one I think I'm going to buy. It has a graphic on the front of a Silver-Age Comic Book Cover that features artwork by Carmine Infantino. Actually, it's Detective Comics # 380. I don't know, I think it's pretty cool. What do you think? Oh, if you're wondering where their website is I placed a link down below, check it out sometime.

HEY! It's Desmond, The Littlest Batman Fan!

Alright! Late last night I got a new photo of our little buddy Desmond in my email box. That always makes me happy because he's such a cool kid! He's shown here in some new BATMAN Pajamas he got last Christmas. They have a vintage style to them ( think of the ones your Grandpa wore, ha ) & they're completely covered with Batman Bat-Symbol Logos!! Oh man, I'm totally jealous! Hey Desmond, I don't have any cool sleepwear like this! I might have to come over to your house & steal these, ha! I wanna thank his parents for sending the sweet picture. It's nice to see the little guy again & he's still totally adorable. In fact, maybe even a little bit more!

Bloomingdale's BATMAN High-End Fashion Clothing!

Here's a post done for the Bat-Blog Readers out there who make tons of money! We reported awhile back how Bloomingdale's Department Stores are helping DC Comics celebrate their 75th Anniversary by having a few special Superhero T-Shirts. Well, they have expanded that line of products with a few other articles of clothing. Here are some Batman Socks, Bat-Symbol Necktie, & even a Cashmere Scarf with a cool graphic of our favorite Caped Crusader! Now, why did I mention the "lots of money" part? Well, the socks are $30.00, the Tie is $125.00, & the Scarf is $225.00 -- OUCH! But, I gotta admit, that Bat-Scarf is pretty cool!

Johnny's CUSTOM BATMAN & ROBIN GI Joe Doll Clothes

This is a really nice story. Here's some pics sent in by a Bat-Blog Reader named Johnny. When he was a little kid, back in the 1970's, a lady who was a good neighbor made him some Batman & Robin clothes for his large 12" GI Joe Dolls. They were made to sort of be like the Mego Superhero Figures we all know & love. Well, out of sentimental reasons he has kept these outfits for all these years. Later, he got some large dolls to display the mini-costumes as a way to remember her ( she recently passed away ). Now I think these clothes are just totally wonderful & she did a great job on them. OK, I know that they're not totally perfect or completely accurate but a lot of goodness & love went into making them. So for that reason they're really special. Plus, they actually are pretty cool! Thanks to Johnny for sharing his nice story & pics.

BATMAN and ROBIN Funny Humor T-Shirt!

Our good friend Brian sent us this link to a really funny BATMAN & ROBIN Parody T-Shirt he found on the internet. It's called "BAT & ROB". It was designed by Dina Prasetyawan over at Threadless Tees. The graphic takes the whole "animal thing" literally, kinda funny! ( Thanks Brian for sending the link, you ROCK, Sir! ) Here's a button to check it out:

New BATMAN, ROBIN, & JOKER T-Shirts To Keep An Eye Out For!

I'm always trying to keep up with Batman T-Shirts Designs & when I come across some that I think are pretty cool I like to share them. Here are 3 new ones that I think are very well done. Now the 1st one is my favorite because it's a graphic of what the original 1966 TOPPS BATMAN Bubble Gum Card Package ( Wax Wrapper ) looked like. That real-life piece of Bat-memorabilia has always been very special to me because I really loved these Trading Cards as a very little kid! The next one has more of a "Pop Art" feel about it & I'm actually trying to figure out who's comic book art they used. I'm thinking it might be the artist Dick Giordano but I'm not sure. Either way, it's the "Silver Age" Batman that I have always liked with the blue / gray bat-suit & yellow-oval bat-symbol logo. For the last example I included this one with split-faces of Batman & The Joker. The reason is because it totally reminds me of all the T-Shirts that were produced during the 1989 Batman Movie craze. It just has a nice "Vintage 80's Look" about it. Now remember, I've included a link button down below so you can see other examples of new shirts offered. So, check it out!!

High-Fashion DOLCE & GABANNA Batman T-Shirt

I'm a simple man & I don't spend a lot of money on clothes. I gotta save my hard-earned cash for Vintage Batman Toys!! But, if I were rich, I might buy one of these cool T-Shirts. Well, ok, maybe not!! The other day a Bat-Blog reader wrote to us about a great shirt he found while surfing thru the DOLCE & GABANNA Clothing website. Recently DOLCE & GABANNA released a Batman-Themed Clothing Line. Here's an example of one of the shirts. As you can see from the close-up photos Batman is placed on the T-shirt with sequins. I don't understand fashion one bit I guess because this seems wayyy too pretty for a man's shirt. Plus, it's really really expensive. But it looks like it's great quality & this is something this company is known for...me, I'm a simple man.

Groovy Sixties Mod Fashion Model Photography 1960's

Fans of both Pop Art & Vintage Clothing are gonna freak out over these groovy photos! The 2 large photos up above that look like "comic book pages", with fashion models dressed in mod clothing, were photographed by the famous Fashion Photographer Ronald Traeger in the 1960's. I'm not sure which fashion magazine it was published in but it's pretty cool! ( I got these pics from a blog about vintage mod clothes but forgot to save the URL so if you know please let me know so I can give credit ). The third smaller picture of the mod girl with the Batman mask was from another article in another magazine & was sent in by a loyal BAT-BLOG Reader, Thanx Molly! Click the small pictures to see photos large enough to read, they're kinda funny!

Has Anyone Seen This BATMAN 1970's Rain Coat?

I recently got a message from a guy named Steve who is searching for a piece of his childhood. Well, he's looking for a Batman Rain Coat that he had as a kid in the 1970's. He wrote me to see if I had any information but I have never seen this bat-product before. The cool thing, he made these 2 awesome drawings to represent what he's looking for. Yeah, he got into heavy detail here, ha! the Coat was made out of Heavy Black Latex Rubber & was sort of like a Poncho. It had a Bat-Cowl Hood with a Clear-Plastic Visor. On the back was a Large BATMAN Logo ( 1970's Style ) inside a Yellow Oval-Shape. So, has anybody ever seen this thing? If so then please let us know. Thanks.

New BATMAN: ARKHAM ASYLUM Video Game T-Shirts!!

You're either playing the game or you want the game! Yeah, I'm talking about the new BATMAN: ARKHAM ASYLUM Video Game! The official launch & release of the game was yesterday & many people are saying it will be THE GAME OF THE YEAR! Sadly, I have not got to play it yet but seriously plan too. I mean, all the reviews have been very excellent...I'm pretty happy about that! While searching for alternative products in this franchise I came across these 2 extremely cool T-Shirts. One features Batman, as seen on the video game's box cover. The other T-Shirt has a JOKER graphic where the Joker ( voiced by Mark Hamill ) looks totally crazy! If you would like to know where to buy them I have added a link button down below. While there be sure to check out some of the other Batman T-Shirts they have because there's some other great ones too!

Wicked-Cool BATMAN Sunglasses!

I got a wonderful e-mail the other night from our good friend Lauren. She said the other night her Uncle gave her a gift of some "Batman Sunglasses" he found in some store in Austin, TX. She said that even thought they are not official ones ( bootleg ), they're still great! I have to agree. They are really cool! I also think they could be a nice accessory to a Catwoman Costume ( mod 1960's version ) too!

Brand-New Vintage-Style BATMAN & BATGIRL T-Shirts!!

While surfing the net the other night I came across these brand-new ultra-cool Batman T-Shirts that I thought I would share here. They're some new designs that just came out. I thought the one with the Batgirl design is too awesome because it looks like a Vintage Halloween Costume. The Batman one in the middle looks like it's from the 1980's ( or even the 1970's ) & the one with just the "Batman Logo" is cool because it's the modern version you don't see on T-Shirts very often. If you're looking for good deals & great service online then I suggest clicking the button down below.

TO THE BAT-CRIB!

Here at the Bat-Blog people are welcome to send us their vintage family photos if they're Batman-related. I always seriously love to get these because sometimes they're really cute & funny, other times they're just a really neat piece of Bat-History. This one is a great example of both! At first glance you see an extremely cute little Batman Fan sporting a BATMAN One-Piece Jumper ( I think they're called "Onesies" ). Just on that level you get the "cute & adorable" motif but then you see the Batman Clothing & realize that this bat-item is actually extremely SUPER-RARE. Man, I would love to have one of these in my personal collection. In fact, I would have it framed & put behind glass to protect it, ha ha! The next thing that's pretty interesting is the fact that this little kid started out in the crib as a Batman Fan & still is today. Now, that loyality! The photo is of our friend Ed & he explains it this way, "Let's see...I'm born Dec '65, "Batman" premieres on ABC in January of '66, and by Sept of that same year I'm already dressed in a Batman shirt. Yep, guess I've been a fan my whole life." Oh yeah, I love both the photo AND the story...too funny! Yeah, Batman Fan Forever! So, thanks Ed for sharing your family picture, it's great. Readers, he send another one of himself from later in life when he dressed as Robin at Halloween. You won't wanna miss this costume because it's actually pretty cool. But that one is for a future posting, so keep an eye out for that!

Bloomingdale's DC COMICS 75th Anniversary T-Shirts ( Batman & Joker )

To celebrate the 75th anniversary of DC Comics Bloomingdale's Department Store is selling some cool Batman & Joker themed T-Shirts. The Vintage Style "Japanese Batman" ( in the 1st photo ) is my personal favorite & I really like the one that looks like a cover to an old Golden Age "Detective Comics" Comic Book. The prices range from $39.00 to around $60, OUCH!

Vintage Photo: A YOUNG BATMAN IN COSTUME ( With Alfred, The Butler? )

Here's a Vintage Family Photo sent in by our good friend Chip Kidd. Now, this is not "Chip when he was a small child", ha ha! No, it's just a photo that a friend sent to him because it is Batman & then he sent to us. WOW! This photo is extremely beautiful, both in subject matter AND quality! Because of the style of the Batman Superhero Halloween Costume, & the fashion of the clothing worn by Alfred, The Butler ( OK, probably his father or Grandfather, ha ha! ), I would guess it's from the early 1960's. So, the fact that it looks even older is pretty cool. I mean it looks Vintage 40's at least! Maybe it's the fact that it's Black & White or maybe because the architectural details are sort of European-looking. But the costume having the "Yellow Oval Bat-Symbol" on the chest is a dead give-away that's it's at least 1960's. Anyways, thank you to Chip Kidd for sending this wonderful photo, I really appreciate that & know everybody will love this cool pic! Now, If any other Bat-Blog Readers have similar "Batman Halloween Costume" photos then I am inviting them to send them in too!
