TWO RARE 1960's BATMAN & ROBIN LP RECORD ALBUM COVERS

The other day I was surfing the net & found a really cool webpage that was all in German. I couldn't understand any of the language but from the pictures could tell this guy was very very serious about collecting records! He had a really great collection & as I was scrolling thru some of the eye-candy photos I found these 2 Super-RARE Batman & Robin LP Record Album covers that I have NEVER seen before! I knew they had to be very obscure & hard-to-find so I wanted to share them with my BAT-BLOG readers....Check 'em out! THE DARK KNIGHT Batman Movie Picture Disc LP Record Album

Yes, you read the title correctly, a... LP RECORD ALBUM! WOW, this is extremely weird! Hot Topic has published a "Picture Disc" LP Record Album for THE DARK KNIGHT movie. It's not the full soundtrack but just 2 songs & it looks pretty cool! One side features a photo from the movie where Batman ( Christian Bale ) is standing in some rubble. The other side has the now-classic Joker Portrait of Heath Ledger's face. I think this is a pretty unique collectible to find because since when was the last time you ever saw a "new" LP record? OK, Because of a few personal things I needed to get done I sort of took off doing the Bat-Blog on Tuesday & Wednesday. Well, I'm back! Now as every reader knows we post 2 brand-new Batman Desktop Backgrounds every Wed. It's called "Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday"! So, to make up for it I'm gonna post 3 of them today...YEA! The 1st one shows the graphics to an original 1966 Batman TV Show Theme Record Album ( I hope this brings back some good memories for a lot of people ). The 2nd one is more modern & shows a current DC Comics image. The last wallpaper is a photo of a Custom Toy made by a friend of the Bat-Blog. Actually, it's a wacked-out model kit of the 1966 Batmobile. I hope you enjoy all of these & we'll post more next Wednesday, I promise!

BATMAN AND ROBIN Birthday Cake Inspired by 1966 LP Record

A friend of mine knows how I totally love "Batman Birthday Cakes" so he sent me these pics to crack me up. Thanks Gary, I really needed a good laugh! Actually, this birthday cake with Batman and Robin on it is extremely well done...a total Art Masterpiece! I think it would be the hit of any party! As an example I'm showing the Vintage 1966 Batman LP Record Cover that inspired the artwork for the pastry design.
